Jed Campbell, an educator by training, is a Master Black Belt in Six Sigma. His problem-solving experience is extensive, ranging from process improvement in manufacturing to designing and coaching experiments in rocket science. Prior to joining JMP, he was the Quality Director for US Synthetic, where he helped win the enterprise-level Shingo Prize in 2011. As a Systems Engineer at JMP, Jed helps others achieve better and faster insights with their data and has vast wisdom to share.
During the session, Jed creatively uses some of JMP’s interactive data visualizations to demonstrate best practices in building a quality culture. He makes a clear case for investing in people – since they decide which data to collect; they author the processes and then fine-tune those processes for continuous improvement; and they decide which experiments to conduct to learn from data faster. Oh, and Jed also encourages managers to reward honesty – like giving movie tickets when you own up to breaking a window. Watch the video to find out what we mean!
