predictor screening
Hi,After running predictor screening the out put has a column named contribution , portion and rank . Is there any unit for contribution ? Is this % is so why the some of all the contributions doest end up to 100?
Find courses, tutorials, and lots of other methods of learning JMP.

I'm new to JMP, and trying to determine which test is appropriate for my study. I have matched biological measurements at two time points (before and after a meal) for 25 individual donors. Each donor has a single data point per time point. The population has a large standard deviation for most of these measurements, and usually the results do not have a normal distribution. Some observations have...
Hello everyone, I am working on a project that helps users to pick modules based on their input. For example, if user input 5, the script would give user 5 modules that been selected. Could anyone one help me with the "select" part?
Hi All,
this might be very easy so forgive me, i am trying to replace a numeric value in a variable with another value and am trying to do so with the following syntax
Acc << select where( :lo50%expGMT > 10.0 );
Acc << replace (5);
this deletes the whole row rather then replace any values under 10 with 5.
Can anyone help me?????
Hi, I'm trying to import my excel file as a data table but apparently the version of excel used is too old. It says: "There was an error opening the file in the Excel Wizard. Files older than Excel 97 might fail to open. Using the Open All Sheets preference should work in this case."So, I tried changing the preferences to "Open All Sheets" and the error no longer appears but no files are imported...

I would like to plot some data in a Smith Chart but don't see this capability in JMP. Does anyone know if there is way to plot data in Smith charts?Thanks.BH
Hi all,I need to perform the ANCOVA for a repeated-measures design. I tried to adapt the Julian's ANCOVA procedure showed on the https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mApbp1RDy-U to my study case (repeated-measures design). Initially, I did the following actions: 1. In the Fit Y by X dialogue: I selected VAR_Y as "Y, Response" and VAR_X as "X, Factor";2. For "Group by" I selected the variable Timepoint;...
Hi everyone,How can I perfrom an 8-run Plackett-Burman design with JMP14? Browsing the online documentation about Plackett-Burman suggests to include 4 additional runs and construct a 12-run Plackett-Burman design instead. However, a 12-run is just too much as I only have 4 factors... so a PB-8 would be enough for me. Unfortunately, after choosing Classical > Screening Design and setting the respo...

Hello Everyone, My question pertains to understanding what the terminology in JMP's prewhiten platform means.Also, understanding how that helps me determine an appropriate Transfer Function that I can use to test whether x causes y. JMP's prewhiten output shows three different ACF's labeled "Prewhiten Corr", "Noise AutoCorr", & "Noise Partial AutoCorr".
What is the Prewhiten Corr, Noise AutoCorr, &...
Hi all--having an issue. I am using Fit Y by X to fit 5,000 separate regressions. I hold control, select red drop-down arrow, and Fit->Flexible, Fit->Spline and select, say, 0.1. This fits a spline to all 5,000 graphs with lambda of 0.1. I have 28 X values in each of 5,000 graphs, and I understand there are 4 different spline coefficients (A, B, C, D). I understand if I just had 1 regression...
All,
I have a script I am trying to profile and improve on. When I run the script without the profiler, it runs and ends within 4 minutes. When I try to profile the script, even after a good 5-6 minutes, it does not stop. Wondering why this is happening and if there is a way to use profiler and not run into this. I am using JMP 13.
Hello everybodyI am going to undrestand the P value, L-R Chi Square, Prob Chi Square in Choice results. But different interpretations of these values can be found in the web. It seems that the true interpretation is related to null hypothesis and confidence intervel.The results of the study are as the attached pictures.Could any body inform me what exactly these statistics are saying and base on w...
