Re: predictor screening

The Predictor Screening platform uses bootstrap forests for models. The contribution of each predictor is determined by this model. The description in JMP Help for bootstrap forests says:

Column Contributions
Displays a report that shows each input column’s contribution to the fit. The report also shows:
The total number of splits defined by a column.
The total G2 (for a categorical response) or SS, sum of squares (for a continuous response), attributed to the column.
A bar chart of G2 or SS.
The proportion of G2 or SS attributed to the column.
