  • Is there a quick way to transform column data type?

I have a question for help, thanks.
There is a table with more than 1200 columns, since many data values starting with “i”, there are about 900 columns, so I need to convert the column format from character to numeric, but with a for loop, it's too slow, is there a fast way?

  • How to make differential gene expression volcano plot using means difference in response screening

Dear experts,I'm trying to make a differential gene volcano plot showing the means difference with JMP17.2. I used response screening and set a control using the column info, but I couldn't find where to apply the "means difference" option. The graphs I got so far just have FDR logworth by effect size, by Rsqured, or by Slope, I couldn't get FDR logworth by means difference. And the in Result tabl...

  • How to create a new column in a data table from a list of column values using conditional statements?

I want to check values in two numeric columns within a data table. Now I have these two numeric columns' names in a list. I use a for loop to iterate through the list of these chosen numeric column names, then i want to check against a threshold value (say 100). Then I want to create a new column and put labels accordingly - either label "A" or "B" - depending on the given columns in the data tabl...

  • Scheduler Generates Dissociation Error when script is refreshed after timer.

I'm very new to jmp Scripting and working on making a script that my team can use during processing that will refresh so they can monitor the process as they work without having to interact too much with their computer. I got the refresh working but when the scheduler timer runs out and the script runs again, I am getting an Error message stating:  The source table has changed. The summary table w...

  • DOE doubts

I have 4 different factors in my experiment, each of the factors have around 3 to 5 levels, however, while making DoE using customized design, the table is taking up only higher levels and the lower levels are omitted from combinations. I do not want to do a full factorial design as the number of runs would be very high but in customized design, lower values are omitted, can you please help tell h...

  • Interactive html file for figure with local data filters

I am trying to create an interactive html file of a figure that a user can modify by changing local data filters, but when I save it as an interactive file I get a message that says "This feature is not interactive." and thus my figure is static.  I found a similar question on the this site that indicated that if I a disable the "Include" function of the filter (i.e., clicking on red triangle and ...

  • Creating DOE (and fitting) for non-linear response

Hello, I am still new to JMP but I'm trying to determine the best way to model a non-linear system (generating DOE + model fitting). Context: Long story short, I have a large experimental space that I am trying to model (10 discrete variables + 10 continuous variables). Before I jump into my full experiment I'm working with a subset (1 discrete variable + 5 continuous variables) to make sure I'm m...

  • How do I make my custom map automatically fill with color

  • Load an OASIS (.oasis) Chip Layout File in JMP?

I have a .oasis file that contains layout data for a semiconductor die layout. Is it possible to load this file and view the layout in jmp 18? Similar to a Map file? Would then want to overlay defect location data on top of the die layout diagram.

  • Robust vs. Non Robust Response Screening/ Categorical Outliers

Hello! I appreciate your help in advance!  I am currently trying to figure out the proper way to analyze my data!  I had used the DOE feature of JMP to create this fraction factorial of 24 runs for m experiment. The goal is two screen which categories have the most effect on the success rate. I had initially use the response screening option to analyze my results, when I did that none of my values...

  • p-value or kappa for Interactions in Cox Proportional Hazard model?

I'm using Cox Proportional Hazards modeling to evaluate the effect of 5-6 baseline variables on overall survival (OS) in a breast cancer dataset. Beyond evaluating the main effects of these covariates, I'd like to assess interactions between baseline variables. I've been using the "Cross" button to add these interactions to my model (e.g. ECOG status * Age). However, I could use some help determin...
