  • Translating JSON files in large quantities: looping the JSON Parser add-on

Xan Gregg's JMP Add-in for reading JSON files is the best application I have found for seamlessly reading JSON produced by the Twitter APIv2.  With one complication:  I have 238 files, all about 300KB, pulled from the API over the course of a day on a schedule with enough time delay so as not to cause an API error.     Reading 238 files with the menu selection is a difficult and likely error-prone...

  • JSL Help with: Get As Report & Table Box

Hi All,   I've recently started writing JSL that summarizes some information in a new window using the Table Box() functionality because I want users to be able to select rows to perform the next step a process. Sometimes making an interactive table box can be cumbersome. I've also recently learned that you can take a data table and turn it into an interactive table box-like interface using the Ge...

  • How do I transform a time data column (nominal) into continuous data in one unit (months)?

Hello All.In JMP, I work with stability data extracted from a LIMS system. When doing the analysis, I would have time in months on the X axis. The extracted data comes in two time “formats”: Either as time given in months (e.g. “M-12” or “M-36”) or as time given in days (e.g. “EOS-968” or “EOS-1011”). All data are located in the same column. I need the data to be continues to be able to do the req...

If the k-fold operation of decision tree module is carried out manually,
Is k-fold selected after segmentation?Or is k-fold selected and then segmented?
What exactly does k-fold mean? Thanks !

  • What is the best way to analyze the relationship between a binary and quantitative variable?

Hi, sorry if this is a really newb question but I'm working on a dataset for class on the relationship between depression and sleep. I have two variables, depression with a yes/no response, and average hours of sleep for each respondent (5,6,7,etc.). I analyzed the two for ANOVA and found their R-squared and the P value for the relationship, but is there a better test for this specific situation? ...

  • Converting percent loss to probits in JMP

I generated independent probit regressions for multiple populations to a toxicant using a binomial general linear model with a probit link function and log(dose) as the X. Now I wish to convert my Y to probit units. When I save formulae from the GLM output I get this formula for each population: Normal Distribution(Intercept+Slope*Log(dose)) Given that a probit is the inverse of the cumulative dis...

  • Variability Chart Platform Factor Re-Insert Positions (Not Swapping)

Hello JMP Community, I understand dragging between any two factors swaps the location pairs in the Variability Chart platform. Is there a way to drag to specifically re-insert the factors instead? For example, can I drag "Layout" between "Horizontal" and "Wafer ID" in the attached screenshot instead of performing multiple drags to have the intended result? I am aware I can do this reordering with ...

  • how can I use structural equation model to make predictions?

Hi, I built a structural equation model and it works well. I would like use the model to make some predictions. Basically, what I want to do is to change the value of a variable and then JMP can calculate the values of other variables. Is there any way i can output the model equation so that I can use it to predict? Thanks.

  • Get (x & y) intercept values from linear fit of the linear region of a curve/data and store them in a new column

I have JMP data table with data from several parts for which a Capacitance 'C' has been measured as a function of reverse voltage 'V' (0 to -5 V in -0.1V step). A plot of [1/C]^2 vs V has a linear part for small reverse bias (say from 0 V to -0.5V and data is available at 0, -0.1, -0.2, -03, -0.4 -0.5 V within this range). How to do a linear fit to the points between 0 to -5V for each part, extrac...

  • Debugger report for finding bottlenecks

I'm trying to find bottlenecks in a large script with many includes.  I can run the debugger to profile the script but I'm wondering if there's a better way than just looking through each included script for the highest number.  I'm imagining a pareto.     Anyone know a good method to analyze script performance?
