  • viscosity curve as response in DOE

Hi, i am running an experiment based on DOE. one of the responses is viscosity cure that is related to formulation rheological behavior.the plots are viscosity Vs shear rate. For different formulations, the plots appear to be a bit different. Is there any way to compare and treat it as response for DOE further analysis?

  • JMP16 generating invisible windows (even dialog windows)

Hi, My JMP16 is generating invisible windows, even dialog windows. When I start a new JMP16 session its starts out ok. But after some time of use, this "invisible mode" just kicks in making that JMP session unusable. Here is an image capture of the HOME window showing the Summary & Graphbuilder dialog windows as invisible. To use/populate those windows I have to click on them to bring them to the fo...

  • How do I model defect rates from a doe

Hi, I have results from a DOE that was run to see the effect of some factor on a defect rates. Samples were analysed (500 parts) and different defects were counted. So for example defect #1 = 40/500=0.08I would like to model the data but from the research I did I think rates (between 0 and 1 ) should be modelled using a logistic regression. I cannot seem to do that in JMP16 as if just give me opti...

  • Which design is most appropriate

    Dear all,
I want to perform a DoE in order to optimize the yield of my extraction. I have 7 continuous factors and 1 discrete factor. My idea is to start with a screening design, choose the most important factors, and then continue with the response surface.
I do not know what is the most appropriate way to do the experiment ? which kind of screening design and which kind of response surface are sui...

  • Agreement statistics with continuous variable

Hello,  I have a observation scale that calculate amount of times a behavior occurs which could be any where from 0 to 40+ so I assume it could only be a continuous variable. I am wanting to run agreement statistic but because both are continuous it won't let me do that in JMP. Any tips or tricks on how to get an agreement stats with continuous variables?

  • How do I get selected filters from JMP data filter and create a new columns based on that selection dynamically?

I have a jsl application to make a plot with a formula column in group by. The formula column has been created based on concatenating values from other columns based on filtered data.  I want to generate the formula column dynamically and update it whenever someone selects a new category from the data filter. So if colA has two values Cat/Dogs and colB has two values tall/short. The formula column...

  • JSL Script Creates New Taskbar Icon When Run

Hi All, I have what seems to be an odd problem. I've created a JSL script that launches a window through which a user can select some options and then run scripts to pull data from various sources. The odd thing that is happening is that when one of these scripts is run it causes all subsequent JMP windows to open under a new taskbar icon. An example for clarity: 1) User opens jmp. There is 1 icon...

  • Choice model platform and marginal effects?

Hi everyone,I have used the choice model platform to design and analyse choice experiments. However, at the analysis step, there are some parts of JMP platform output that are not clear, and I wonder if you can provide an answer:It is not clear how marginal effects are calculated in JMP.More specifically, how do we obtain marginal probabilities from marginal utilities since neither the utility fun...

  • Urgent: covariance parameter estimates are all zero (i.e. estimate, Std error, confidence interval)

Dear All,I have been analysing a two factorial (3*4) RCBD repeated measures design by using the mixed model approach in JMP. Above is a section of the report I got. Why are the estimates zero. Other information include about the analysis include:1. 14 continuous variables measured four times at unequal time periods2. All the three covariance structures I tried (AR1, Toeplizt and spatial power) had...

  • Validate column values (make sure all values in column follow a specific pattern)

Is there a better way rather than iteration of all the rows to validate values in column? Let's say before making something with the column I want to make sure that all values in column match specific Regex. Like so:!IsMissing(Regex(Column(myColumn)[1], "^\w+(\d{3})\w+$", "\1"))I can iterate through each row to make sure that all of them match, but maybe there is a better way?
