  • Difference of lines

Suppose I have two lines, distance vs. time for two different moving objects.  The time measurements for object 1 and object 2 are at arbitrary times, i.e., the measured times for object 1 aren't the same times as provided for object 2. Is there a way in Graph Builder to plot the *difference* between those curves vs. time?

  • Re-evaluate a Formula for a report based on the subset on the data selected in Local Data Filter

Dears,   Can anybody give a hint, if it is possible to re-evaluate a Formula for a report based on the subset on the data selected in Local Data Filter? E.g. my formula is Col Sum(:aval, :ID) In the screenshot attached, only line9 meets the local data filter conditions. Is it possile to create a formula which would return 1 instead of 2 (since within ID= V2_7 only 1 record with aval = 1 would be s...

  • PRO license runtime

My organization bought a JMP Pro license for a year.Unfortunately due to the high level of bureaucracy in the organization the installation was performed with some delay on 18th January but the license expires on 14th December. Is there a way to extend the license such that we can make use of JMP Pro for the full year?If there is how would this be done in practice?

  • How do I retrieve a row of data from a table in a display window that has been selected?

I have a window that has a table in it (i.e., the first 5 rows of Big Class.jmp) that I created using the script below and I'd like to know:1) that a row of the table was selected2) retrieve the row of data from the table in the window After the window has been made, let's assume the user selects a row of the table as shown in the attached image. Note: I am using JMP ver 17.1. names default to her...

  • How to get data selected by Data Filter () into a new data table (using JSL)?

I know how to do this interactively but how do to get data selected by Data Filter () from a parent data-table into a new (subset) data table via JSL? I also need the new subset data-table to be created newly (closing the old subset) or the old one refreshed (if this possible) as the selection changes in the data filter.Would putting the data filter () inside a modal window work or is there a bett...

  • DOE - Augment Design to Focus on More Narrow Range

Hi, Question: Is there a way, to add runs to a DOE (Augment Design), which adds a focused range of a factor. This way you can evaluate a wider range, and also focus on the expected optimal range based on prior knowledge. Ex. 25 runs with a factor(A) of 0-100 + 5 runs with factor(A) of 0-30 Background:I have created a definitive screening design which ranges my factors very wide. I have prior knowl...

  • How to adjust the factor range for specific factors within an ongoing DOE

Hi, I designed a DOE that has two independent buffers. This DOE will range components in each buffer which will be used in a processing step sequentially. IE, buffer A, followed by buffer B. We already prepared for the DOE, and formulated the A buffers as per the recommended design. For the B buffers, we intended on ranging 2 components but later decided to reduce to ranging one component, and als...

  • How to create a side by side boxplot with data input as centered dots?

I'm trying to create a boxplot showing analysis data from different stations (placed on x- axis). When choosing plain boxes without the individual data shown as dots, it looks fine with the boxes within the same station placeded side to side. But when trying to add the dots, they are either displayed on the side of the boxes (some dots from different analyses overlap) or the boxes are overlapping,...

  • Type 1 MSA for microscope and Offset.

Hello Everyone,I was looking for someone who could help me with a dilemma I'm facing with respect to an MSA for a microscope. The specific problem is that i do not have tolerance I can input for my type 1 analysis. Resolution used is 5 microns per pixel, the accuracy cannot be below 5 microns. This is the standard resolution for particles starting from 50 microns. I have attached the Linearity stu...

  • Is it possible to have independent x-axis ordering within x-axis groups in graph builder?

In the attached data table the saved script plots the chart below.I want the x-axis parameter bars to change in order with the highest number of fails appearing first within each week (i.e. a Pareto type plot within each week)I created a FailOrder column for ordering within each week, but it does not seem to do what I want. Is there a way, via JSL, to have the order of the parameters (Para) in asc...

  • Strange behavior using GenReg and Forward Selection

Hi All,   I'm hoping someone might be able to help me to understand what is causing some strange behavior when I use GenReg and the Forward Selection Estimation Method.   So, I have some data that I'm running through GenReg with Forward Selection, where I have several model effects and a validation column as well. After performing the fit, I want to run some simulations on the Estimate column of t...
