• How do I fit a normal 4 mixture to a distribution?

  I frequently deal with multimodal distributions in my data. Usually they are straightforward normal 2 or 3 mixtures, but occasionally I have more modes. It must be possible to fit more than 3 normal mixtures. I have an example from some older work where JMP has produced exactly the kind of normal 4 mixture that I now need to do.
