  • IS NUMBER IS MISSING etc.

I have the following snippet of JSL that checks the My_Graphs list to determine whether the ith row is a number or not and do one of two things (col 6 consists of numbers and "."). The first part of the IF works - it sets the chart min at 1.2 the LCL and draws the plot. However, if the LCL is "." it does not set the LCL to 0. Immediately below is the the first 6 rows of col 6. .

  • Is it possible to update Text Box based on Combo Box Selection

Hello!  I am new to JSL and trying to develop a tool for an engineering group.  What we'd like to do is to pull data from a table and display the results of one record based on a selection of items available.  I have developed a super simple version and cannot get it to work.  Is it even possible to update a Text Box in a window based on a selection made in a Combo Box.  << Reshow is not doing wha...

  • Ordinal Logistics Regression for Key Driver Analysis

Hi all, I need to do a key driver analysis and identify the top 10 drivers for customer satisfaction. The data set that I have consists of 1 ordinal dependent variable and about 20-30 independent variable (ordinal, nominal, binary).  I tried to analysis the data set by Fit Y by X and Fit Model. However, I do not know what to look out for to identify the most important drivers. For numerical data, ...

  • Subset data table

Hi all, From my previous post, i face the subset data problem. I using the hard coding to list down the subset data table one by one. But now i want dynamic the code, one of the reason that i don't want list down one by one(hard coding ) is if in future I have 50 F D in one dataset, so is impossible to me to list down the F D one by one right? I try using the script below, but still have errors, a...

  • Hide x axis and y axis

Hi All, Is there a way to hide x axis and y axis? I don't want that to be plotted although I want the values corresponding to the x and y axis plotted in graph builder.  Thank you.

  • Extract the data from data table

    hi, all
I now need to create the tabs which is based on my data table(i named as dt2). The names of the tabs is based on the dt2, meant here: if dt2 has 10 products name, so in my interface i also need have 10 tabs which is based on the product names in dt2.
One of my requirement is i cannot hardcode the coding, because in the future, maybe i need to add in the name of products in dt2, so the tabs w...

I don't understand why this one is the best by consedering the different values ?. What is the signification of these values ? Thanks,

  • Understanding the Dispatch and Legend Model and what exactly is Base(0,0,0)?

My problem is two fold. Im writing a JSL Function to create some custom charts at work. Everything is working fine. Thats great. But I dont understand why - and I am trying to break down the code. Most of I wrote myself, but some aspects I made the tweaks within JMP, copied the scripts and used the parts that generated what I needed. Some of the code chunks that get added in are intuitive to read ...

  • Data Binding Associative Arrays

I recently had need to create some slightly complex data structures and started to play with associative arrays a little more.  These are similar to dictionaries in other languages.  Where they differ is that most languages to improve speed, when assigning an object in a dictionary to a variable it does a data binding.  Essentially it makes it so both the dictionary and the variable refer to the s...

  • How to Maintain JMP Graphs Table Layout When Copy and Pasting into Word

For years I've had to build sets of graphs using the Fit Y by X platform. The graphs are simple: X-axis is always (1) a character, nominal column and (2) a numeric, continuous date/time column. The Y-axis is always numeric, continuous data (bins, registers, parameters). The result is a list of box plot on the left, time trend on the right. There could be many plots at a time. In JMP 12 (and I thin...

  • Odds ratios for multiway tables

On twitter earlier today, someone asked if the Cochran-Mantel-Haenszel (CMH) odds ratio (OR) test was available in JMP when the stratification variable is not the X in Fit Y by X. Anytime I need to go from two variables to more than two variables, the first place I look is Fit Model. The beauty of fit model is that not only can I use as many variables as I want, but I can consider interactions bet...
