  • Correlation with Non-Normal Data

Hi JMP community, I have a question about some data i'm analyzing for a research project. My project consists of a consensus ranking from 0-10 from multiple doctors and several parameters measured by a image analysis program. The image analysis program spits out parameters. I'm trying to find a correlation between any of the parameters and the consensus ranking from the doctors. I'm not much of a ...

  • Variability in Responses

Hi All, I am trying to analyze a data set in which 15 doctors all ranked images of a disease on a scale of 0-9. There were 110 images. I want to look at the variability of the doctors/determine how good they are at coming to a similar ranking. Any idea on how to go about this?

  • Specialized Modeling->Fit Curve Growth Rates

    Hello,

I am looking for a resource to explain how the growth rate parameters are calculated from the tangent at the inflection points, specifically for 3P and Weibull models. I need the ability to convert the growth rates back to biologically relevant numbers. For example: If my Weibull growth rate is ~8, how do I convert this back to meters per day in reference to plant growth.
    The growth rate shou...

  • How do I apply a Bootstrap Forest model for future predictions on new data?

I am new to JMP and after completing the online Statistical Thinking for Industrial Problem Solving course, I have a few questions. How do I save a particular optimized model of say a Bootstrap Forest (after determining it has a desirable R-squared and MSE) and then apply it to predict results on a new test data? How do I see the newly predicted results? This is the whole essence of predictive mod...

  • Difference in degrees of freedom in ANOVA report and effect test

I am running Three way anova with interaction and I am unable to understand the difference in the values of degrees of freedom. One of my variable is continuous with 84 observations and other is a nominal variable with 2 levels. In ANOVA report table for the model DF is 3, Error is 80 and C.Total is 83. Whereas, in effect test DF for both variables is 1. How do I interpret this? Also, when I say ma...

  • Invalid Row Error

I have a script section that finds errors in the data set. I want to find these errors and color the cells then create a subset of all rows with errors that group into the first subset. I got it working for most of the error types, but when I used the same theory for the two conditions that go into the the second subset it gives an alert that says "Invalid Row". When I run the sections manually th...

  • Capability Animation - How to see the LSL/USL Value?

I just discovered this nifty tool called the Capability Animation, where you can play around, dragging the spec limits and mean shifts, and it simulates your capability indices. But, I cannot see the actual LSL/USL values as I drag them! Does anyone know how to make this happen?

  • Unable to allocate enough memory in access or evaluation

  • How to Post JSON data to a site via API functionality: "Unsupported Media Type"

Hi There, I am trying to perform a POST request to post some JSON data to a server, but unfortunately as of now I keep getting a 415 error. The goal of this script is to upload a JSON formatted file (or something of the like) to the server for other users to download/read. I noticed that there are very few POST examples with JSL, but quite the abundance with GET, which I have no problems with. I w...

  • Help understanding how Lift curves are calculated

Dear JMPers,   (computer details: I have JMP Pro 14 on a W7 Enterprise, 64-bit computer.)   I am trying to better understand how JMP actually calculates a Lift curve. I understand conceptually the ROC and Lift curves, but I'm having a hard time calculating a Lift curve myself. The JMP help/support page (https://www.jmp.com/support/help/14-2/lift-curve.shtml#1276958) isn't all that helpful in under...
