How to extract characters in occurrences of a certain character

for instance, I have a string of "JN-36M-GRNNC", I would like to extract "JN", "36M and "GRNNC" by using formula. The length between "-" is not fixed, can vary. I found an example on how to do it in Excel, https://www.ablebits.com/office-addins-blog/2015/10/07/excel-find-search-functions/. I wonder how to do it in JMP.

How to get/read chart's y-axis max value?

For a given JMP chart (e.g. Variability chart, Box chart, etc) how to have JSL read in the chart's current y-axis maximum value?Usually this is contained within SendToReport within a Dispatch (so I know how to change it in JSL). But I'd like to read in the latest value in the event the user manually changes it by dragging the y-axis up/down with their mouse.thanks, DJ
