  • How to bring in a date variable formatted as mon-yy from Excel into JMP?

    Hi,

    I am importing data from an application into JMP, and the date formats are originally in a month(abr) - year format, so:

    jan-09
    feb-09
    mar-09

    etc

    i can transform the date format in excel and then specify in JMP, but is there a way for JMP to handle this directly? it seems like JMP only thinks of dates as type numeric / continuous

  • Multiple X and Y axes plots

    Hi Guys,

    How can I plot multiple X axes and multiple Y axes on the same plot?

    I tried to use overlay plots but that gives me multiple Y axes only and not X.

    I have got the Neural net modeling estimated parameters:

    X1, X2, X3, X4 are input
    Y is output:

    H1:intercept
    H1:X1
    H1:X2
    H1:X3
    H1:X4
    H2:intercept

    H2:X3
    H2:X4

    My first question: when I calculate the H1 as H1=1/(1+exp(-(intercept + Sum(H1:Xi*Xi)) is not the H1 value JMP provided.

  • Creating Random distributions

    Hi,

    For teaching purposes, I'm trying to create a dataset with 4 or 5 different distributions that all have a mean of 0 and sigma of 1. The lesson will be that sometimes the variation that is out there is more complicated than can be summarized from just those two numbers.

    I have a bunch of files open in the Windows pane to the left. I want to save all these files as one big project so when I open it I can have all my data tables, charts, etc.

    How can I save this as one project?

  • Mail() function causes outlook to display warning

    I want to create an automated jmp script which runs and sends out reports. When it gets to the Mail function Outlook pops up with "A Program is trying to access e-mail address information stored in Outlook" Allow / Deny. VB and a number of other languages have a way to disable that message. Is there a way to bypass this message in JMP as it defeats the purpose of automating the emails.

  • Overlay normal quantile plots without long string labels

    Hello,

    I am a longtime user of JMP7. To make overlay normal quantile plots I use Fit Y by X, where Y is the continual variable like Height and X is a categorical variable like Gender. Using Right-click/Legend gives a nice color coded legend for the curves, but JMP also tries to label each curve way up at the top (upper quantile) end of the curve.
