Update Data Tables
I' m running a script taking data from a shared MS Excel database. I run script to import data into JMP, and open graph builder to look at required data.I find out some data has been left out of the database, meaning visualisation doesn't work properly, so have to go back and add it.I then have to manually close graph builder and all the windows [Window > Close All Data Tables], then start the scr...

Change thickness of box plots on variability chart
Hi all, I am creating a variability chart in jmp. The box plot lines look too thin and vanishes amongst markers. Is there an option to change all the box plot line width at once for the entire figure?I know I can individually change each box plot by right-clicking each of them separately, but this process becomes tedious for multiple box plots. Can I use that in form of jsl code? Thanks a lot !

Using a user-defined equation to create a distance matrix
Hello, I am trying to create a distance matrix of similarity/dissimilarity values for community data. I would like to use a specific equation (Bray-Curtis) to construct the matrix of values; values will show similarity in multiple species abundances between multiple plots. I am aware of the method to create a distance matrix in JMP using hierarchial clustering, but do not know how to perform a ...

How do I standardize axis scale (log) for all graphs generated from a looped script?
I'm trying to write a simple script that loops over columns and iteratively uses each column as the Y values in a plot. I think I've got the for loop down but I can't get the Y axis set to a log scale. The code runs but each graph that is generated is on a linear scale with a range that is specific for each column. I'd like each graph to be on a log scale (either with a specifically set min/max o...

application scripting... Group by , variable
I am creating an application which allows the user to select a few options before running a script which involves a few SQL queries and then making some graphs... nothing too crazy. A radio button control is used to set the value of a variable named "type".. I want one of the "fit where" options for a bivariate graph to be the contents of this variable...

Concatenate to Summary Table
I have a joined table that combines two summary tables. I want to plot the results of one column against the other. These columns are calculated from values in their respective parent tables and are locked. However, I also want to plot a reference trendline (1:1) on this plot. To do this I would like to add four rows with numeric values in the two columns I'm plotting and create a new column that ...

Why does Profiler not stop
All,
I have a script I am trying to profile and improve on. When I run the script without the profiler, it runs and ends within 4 minutes. When I try to profile the script, even after a good 5-6 minutes, it does not stop. Wondering why this is happening and if there is a way to use profiler and not run into this. I am using JMP 13.uday_guntupalli

Convert separate DATE and TIME columns in formats YYYYMMDD and HHMMSS into a single column
Hello, I manage an addin for my company where all data is imported into JMP via command line utilities owned by our automation team. My addin translates a users request into a formatted command and issues the command in the background. The data is returned back as a text file on the users system. My addin can then load the data from the text file. The issue that I have is that the columns vary bas...

pseudo r square in JMP choice model platform

Is there a way to calculate pseudo r square based on the results JMP presents under the choice model platform? I know pseudo R square comes up as entropy RSquare under JMP's fit model platform, nominal logistic fir for respon...
