Why do I get an error
The following script was copied after doing a manual concatenation:Add Properties to Table( {New Script( "Source", Data Table( "Data_W_Nov_15" ) << Concatenate( Data Table( "Data_E_Nov_15" ), Data Table( "Data_W_Jan_16" ), Data Table( "Data_E_Jan_16" ), Data Table( "Data_W_Feb_16" ), Data Table( "Data_E_Feb_16" ), O...

Column dialog box - copies column properties too
I have a script that opens multiple data tables and creates new columns in those data tables. Is it possible to script a column copier box that shows every columns from every data table opened? so I can select and copy the only columns I want with their properties?
My current code tries to concatenate the data tables into one new table before copying the columns but it looks like JMP would not let...luqi

Importing quality control limits
I have two files. The fist contains process data from multiple grade codes. The second contains only 6 columns: Grade_Code, Hi_Lim, Hi_Warn, Target, Lo_Warn and Lo_Lim.How can I use the limits in the second file when I want to produce gradecode specific SPC charts in the first file?BRDarren

Time Series Analysis Predicting Future Values
Dear All,Not doing any time series analysis before I've been asked to predict the 2016 Sales as week by week and as final amount. The company is a seasonal leisure and tourism (more exactly a resort hotel). The sales end by the 44th week of the year (hotel close date) and starts 73 weeks before the hotel close date. To fit the sales data more to a non seasonal annual sales data I only took the las...

Contour plot weird problem
Hi,I used JMP for a few years and recently got a strange problem during a contour plot. Please see attached JMP file (test.jmp).The data was plotted correctly in matlab. In the attached file, if I just plotted freq from 0.2 to 0.8, everything looked good (as left image). But if I included freq=0.9, the plot is changed completely (actually, the plot shrunk to a single line, as right image). I also ...

Open() Time Out Error
I have a script that runs: text =Open(URL); and it works fine for the majority of all cases. The URL is a link to a python script that returns data in comma delineated text format. The problem I'm facing is every now and then the python script may take a while and the open() times out in JSL. I get the error: "Unable to read data from URL: Internet Error: 12002 (The operation timed out)"When ...

Area under a curve for multiple "X,Y" cycles, when every Y cycle has unique shape
Hello,I have a data set where:x = hour
y = average tree water use [out 3, 2 or 1 values due to data loss]This cycle repeats for months at the time [24 hours per day], and every day "y" has a different pattern. Here is a three-day sample data:Adding up hours is an easy way to do it, but assumes water use was the same during the entire hour [wrong assumption].Is there a better way to integrate the ar...gutloja

Co-Kriging with JMP and Matlab
Hi!I was wondering if anyone already tried to work with Co-Kriging, using JMP together with Matlab. As JMP only fits Ordinary Kriging Models (Gaussian Process with Gaussian Correlation Function), I would like to send data (generated with Space Filling JMP Platform) from JMP to Matlab, fit the models there (Matlab), and bring the MODELS back to JMP, to use inside Profile Platform. Do you have any e...

Interpreting canonical structure and scores in discriminant analysis
I'm trying to interpret the relative contributions of my variables in a discriminant function analysis of chemical data for three groups of rocks. In a stepwise, linear, common covariance discriminant function analysis I'm able to generate non-overlapping 95% confidence ellipses for my three groups with no incorrectly assigned data points using 6 variables. My understanding is that the scoring c...

Generalized Segmented Distributions
A former classmate of mine from Graduate School has recently published a paper on Generalized Segmented Distributions. Utilizing this method, the distribution can approach any continuous density function of arbitrary form. The method is particularly effective in fitting data with sufficient observations that are skewed and/or multimodal. The paper can be found here:The General Segmented Distrib...
