  • Conducting a "chi-plot" in JMP

I am attempting to assess the independence of some continuous variables in a dataset and would like to perform what I've typically seen referred to as a "chi-plot" of two continuous variables.  Is there an equivalent plot in JMP that can be used?

  • 4PL fit failure

I am trying to get to the bottom of an odd observation when trying to fit data using a 4PL. In short, when I fit my data I end up with a flat line:  If I do any of the following I end up with a more proper looking fit, and I am sure that other minor changes to the numbers themselves may also fix this bug:Change 0.08 to 0.0800000001Change 26042 to 26043Invert the way the data is within the table (w...

  • Is there an easier way to have point and line legend labels together for the same group level?

For example, in Graph Builder I make a simple scatter plot and then push a categorical group to the Overlay option ... it groups all the point legends together and groups all the lines legends together. Is there an wasier way to have point and line legends group together for the same group level (so the 'a' legends are together, the 'b' legends are together, etc).   I know I can use Legend Setting...

  • Data leakage

Hi I have read several post on data leakage between the test and training groups. The common suggestions to avoid leakages: 1 Split the database in training and test set before any normalization, standardization and missing value imputation  2 in case of time series avoid the random split. Decide a time cut point and use it to separate  the training and test set. Any comment, suggestions, useful r...
