  • Interactive binning > how to jitter points ?

In the Interactive binning interface, in the bottom section (plotting points distribution),how can I specify that jitter type ? I know it's feasible, because it used to be jitter "packed" (i.e mandolin graph), but the default jitter looks to be a "uniform" jitter which is less useful for interactive binning.

  • What does "stack" on Graph Builder actually do?

I was playing around with stack on line on graph builder. I assumed it just did some sort of simple offset, but now looking at it, it actually calculates different values. Here are two plots of the same data using the "% of Factor" summary statistic, but one with stack, and the other without. The change is dramatic. What is stack actually doing?

  • Finding Significant differences

I recently harvested a crop trial and when analyzing the data I found no significant differences in the treatments in yield or RFV (relative feed value) comparing them by individual cuts as well all cumulative cuts using ANOVA. An individual found significant differences selecting only cuts 1, 3, and 5. they grouped residual variance of treatments 1,3, and 5; named that group 2 as well as grouped ...

Hi all, I am try to create a script that would go through directories to find the input file. However, some file names may have different characters.  For example:My input in favorite fruit would be: OrangeExisting files from folder would be: Mark_Orange_Mango.jmp, Jane_Apple.jmp, John_Orange.jmpFiles that would open: Mark_Orange_Mango.jmp and John_Orange.jmp How can I open these files using conta...

  • Linked Column with ID suffix messing up column name use

I feel like I'm going a little crazy. I have a column name that I put into a variable by a column selector box. Then later on I manipulate it, but unfortunately the column is a linked column, so it comes in with a "[ID]" attached to it. That's all well and good until I try Char() on it, and suddenly escape characters appear: "{\!"Solvent[ID]\!"}". Because these characters are special, they mess-up...

  • Is there a way to determine difference in slopes with non-normal data?

For my model, I have one categorical effect variable, one continuous effect variable, and two continuous role (Y) variables. The residual distributions of my variables appear relatively normal with the Q-Q plot, but the Anderson-Darling test showed that the distributions are not normal. I read a previous post that said you should do an ANCOVA with interaction and use indicator parameterization est...

  • Setting using JSL so that the control chart does not display batches for which there are missing data for a given parameter.

As the topic. Normally in JSL we indicate batches (represented by a given column) for which we present points on the control chart as follows: Local Data Filter( Close Outline( 1 ), Add Filter( columns( :Batch ), Where( :Batch == {"01/10/2022", "01/11/2022", "01/12/2022", "01/13/2022"} ), Display( :Batch, N Items( 15 ), Find( Set Text( "" ) ) ) ) ), However, how can we reque...

  • Using JMP data tables and other JMP output in email body

Hello, I am trying to create an email where the body of that email contains some data tables and images of graphs. However, at this time I cannot figure out how to use anything in the body of the email that is not text. This does not work for me because some of the data tables have multiple columns and rows and when they are added to the body as text the formatting is lost. Is it possible to do wh...

  • Vector Modeling and Related Analysis Capabilities

hello JMP team ,  I am curious to learn more on the vector data type modeling and any associated analysis on that . Are there examples of sample vector datasets ? Once such dataset exists, could clustering techniques work on them and how would they work specifically ?I assume they would at the very least extract statistical aggregation from each vector and use these for clustering. Is there any mo...

  • Dendrograms in JMP: show scale, show categories without the categories dendrogram and setup UPGMA+dice as statistics.

HiDoes anybody know how to get the scale of the dendrograms? Scale can be setup in different ways, but it is not shown by default in the output.Does anybody know how to get the categories labels shown without performing the categories dendrogram?Does anybody know how to perform Dice+UPGMA dendrograms? Those are basics statistics, and I can’t find them.Thank you very much if someone helps JMP 17.2....

  • Could JMP optimize factors with uncertainty?
