  • counting character columns in jsl

I have a data table with several data columns with binary 0/1 responses (character, nominal). I want to create a new column (numerical, continuous) where I am counting the instances of "1"s in these columns. can someone help me create a script to create this column? I feel like this should be easy but I am running into road blocks. Do I have to convert my character columns to numerical/continuous ...

  • Code Folding is catching too many lines

I have set "if" blocks to be foldable,  and I have been using them like this    If (1==1, // comment abc    <foldable code block 1 > ); If (1==1, // comment xyz    <foldable code block 2 > );   But often, the first block will catch later blocks and fold them all together.   The code work without a problem, but is is sometimes hard to find the code, it is lost in the folds. Is there a solution to t...

  • Right Censoring data for ANOVA

Hello, I am trying to carry out ANOVA on some data from correlation experiments I am currently running across 3 different oven chambers. It is a reliability test with each unit having a time-to-fail. For the below plot, I have circled 32 data points in red which have not failed yet. For my Fit Life by X analysis, I have right censored these units as they have not yet failed but I'm wondering is th...

  • Capturing degradation fit parameters to table?

How do I capture reliability degradation fit parameters to table? The four bolded lines are the crux of what I am trying to do. Fitting the degradation and then simply capturing the fit parameters in a column.   Script below:     Degradation( Y( :current ), Time( :time ), Label( :DUT ), Application( Repeated Measures Degradation ), Connect Data Markers( 1 ), Show Fitted Lin...

  • JMP stability test report not showing both specification limits

HelloI have a response with two sided specification limits entered as Spec Limits in Column Properties, and tick mark in "Show as Graph Reference Lines". When I make a Reliability and Survival->Degradation->Stability analysis, I get an earliest crossing time of 13.99, were USL is crossed. However, USL is not shown in the overlay plot - only LSL is shown.I would like to see both specification limit...

  • how do I introduce a custom three parameter life distribution into JMP Analyze-->Reliability and Survival--> Life Distribution

want to be able to perform standard set of life distribution analyses on a custom three parameter life distribution ... how do I configure platform to have an additional life distribution to show up along with standard list of Weibull, Exponential, Lognormal, DS Weibull, etc the CDF for this life distribution is given by F(t|p,a,y) = 1 - exp(p*exp(-t/a)-yt-p) or expressed equivalently F(t|a,y,x) =...

  • Determination of product specs by Stability Results

I would ask an help for the following problem.
I got data from a stability study of my product.
By using the tool Reliability and survivor> Degradation I got a prediction of the expiration date based on the spec that I have now.
In order to extend this expiration data I cuould need to change the spec.
    For example
-my product spec say: not less than 100 Pa
-I have product in stability that at time 0 have...
