  • Add Outline Boxes to Window with variables

    Hello, I try to add several Outline Boxes to a window with parameters which are stored in lists. I use a For-Loop to append the boxes. For the title this works just fine. However, if I draw lines it does not work. Below is a minimal example which I would like to get to work. I'm thankful for any idea what I should change and what I'm doing wrong. Best, Anja   ::lineList = {10, 20, 30}; ::titleList...

  • Headings disappearing

    I am just getting started with JMP. I am noticing that all the headings within the Distribution window disappear when I hover my mouse over them.  If I resize the window slightly, they reappear.  Is there any way to stop this from happening?  I would prefer the headings to show all the time. It's really tough to select the little red triangle without them. I have a MacBook Air M1, running Ventura ...

  • Non Normal Control Chart for SHASH distributed data

    Hello,I would like to revisit the discussion on non-normal control charts, which has already been addressed here.
    https://community.jmp.com/t5/Discussions/Control-Chart-builder-Non-Normal-data-Control-Limits/m-p/227165#M45073
    I also have a non-normally distributed data set (see attachment) for which only the SHASH distribution comes into question due to the extreme "skewness". All other distribution...

  • Why writing and calling function can significantly speed up the execution time? And what are the rule-of-thumb to write JSL for the most efficient time/space complexity?

    Hi everyone, One of my tasks is the do the reliability analysis, in which I do using Fit Life by X. In doing so, I have two JSL scripts that output exactly the same results but have different coding approaches. The first approach simply has several pieces of code cascading together. The pseudo code looks something like the following:// Plot Fit Life by X #1
    Fit Life by X(...);

    // Plot Fit Life by X ...

  • Unresolved Column at Row 1 Error

    Hello,  I am new to JMP and have been tasked with generating a control chart. One of the tasks for this is to write scripts that will exclude certain values etc. My issue is a little strange and I can't seem to find a fix for it even after scanning this discussion page. Basically, everytime I go to run my script (attached below) I am met with the error 'Unresolved Column at Row 1'. However, if I o...

  • JMP Script Window - Hovering over a variable do not show the value stored in the variable if passed between scripts

    I have found that hovering over a variable is very useful feature in JMP Script Window/Editor when debugging the script. I have been working with very long script which I have divided to smaller pieces by using Include-feature. I am able to pass variable content correctly between the included scripts but it looks like hovering do not work on included script windows (showing empty variable content ...

  • Slope and Intercept Collector error "matrix must be non-singular in access or evaluation of 'Inv' , Inv/*###*/(x` * x)"

    HI all,I have a question about an error I'm getting when using @stan_koprowski's slope and intercept add-in. I've posted my question on the add-in's thread but due to the much lower exposure compared to discussion posts, I thought that it might be a good idea to ask here as well. I made a mock data table with three groups and several observations in each group. When I run the add-in I am getting t...

  • Model classification thresholds add-in display "negative" probability

    Hi, I've been looking at this add-in which is very useful.https://community.jmp.com/t5/JMP-Add-Ins/Exploring-Model-Classification-Thresholds/ta-p/66964 In our case we don't have a probability but instead we have a status and a measurement that ranges between -10 and 10.I want to adapt the script so that the slider can move between -10 and 10 (I've already done it and it works). However the "Probab...
