  • Which DoE modeling technique to use when there are Edge of Failure conditions?

Hello,I have performed a two-parameter full factorial DoE to optimize process conditions. The DoE was composed of 12 runs.Prior modelling I verified the normality of the distribution of my responses and my distributions do not pass the Goodness-of-Fit test. There are 2/12 conditions which are clear Edge of Failure conditions (they performed from a scientific point of view very poorly) and are maki...

  • JMP script verification: discrepancy between results from script run and manual run

Hi I am verifying a JMP script for a linear regression. the last verification was done 10 years ago using JMP9.0. I am now verifying the same script using JMP14.2.0I found 99% of the results match between a manual run and a script run, however, there is a 0.001 difference between the R2 (R square) from two runs. It really puzzles me because the SSE and SST identical between the manual runs and the...

  • Separating string copied directly from data table using Words()

To use a script I'm currently working on, I need to copy-paste a set of cells from a data-table column (multiple rows, one column) into a text edit box (this step is done by the user), and within the script, I want to store this set of character cells into a single string object and separate this string out into constituent strings using the Words() function. However, when I copy directly from the...

Hello! I just learned 'Clements Percentile PCI method' for CPK non normal data. I don't think JMP support it, right? Any thoughts and ideas are welcomed! Thanks. Best,Isabel

Hi all, Is there any possible way in JMP to select non-duplicate value in the same column and define as variable list, without deleting the duplicate value. Below is an example: Data Table (1) Data Point           ModelType              FeedRate1/1/2021              AVG                         11/2/2021              AVG                         1.21/3/2021              AVG                          ...

  • JMP 14.2 - JSL - Graph Builder Size Ignored Inside Boxes Sent to Journal

Full disclosure - I'm a bigger fan of the older graph plotting routines in JSL than Graph Builder but I'm making some honest attempts to switch. I'm running into a problem where I'm dynamically adding graphs to a Journal and I'm trying to very tightly control the graph sizes so axes and values line up horizontally. I'm building an H List Box in JSL with several items, sending that H List Box to th...

  • Is there a way in JMP16 to provide a user-defined reference distribution for a one-sample KS test?

Hello JMP users, I'm trying to analyze the distribution of fluorescent cellular features, such as nuclei, along a linear scan through a layered tissue.  In healthy tissue there is a highly reproducible pattern but in diseased areas the pattern is altered.  I'd like to test statistically whether the pattern in a selected region is different than that of healthy tissue. The Kolmogorov-Smirnov test h...

  • JMP > GraphBuilder > Parallel Plots >River / Sankey Plots > Maximum Items?

Hi JMP Community,   I just came across an odd behavior in GraphBuilder with the Parallel Plot > Sankey Plot. If I limit the input to a maximum of 66 rows, the plot looks good. However, if I bump the number of rows to 67 or more, the output is no longer useful: no annotations: Is there a trick to maintain the axis annotations as shown in the first plot? Thanks. Best, TS

  • Permutation Tests and Monte Carlo Cross Validations Using the Simulation Platform

I'm trying to do permutation tests and Monte Carlo Cross Validations with the Iris sample dataset as a MWE for our dataset. I'm not sure if I'm doing things and interpreting output correctly.   1) Create New Formula Column (Random->Sample Without Replacement) for the Species Column for Permutation Test. 2) Create a Validation Column (0.75/0.25 split) and a new Formula Column (Random->Sample Withou...

  • Variability Chart Platform Factor Re-Insert Positions (Not Swapping)

Hello JMP Community, I understand dragging between any two factors swaps the location pairs in the Variability Chart platform. Is there a way to drag to specifically re-insert the factors instead? For example, can I drag "Layout" between "Horizontal" and "Wafer ID" in the attached screenshot instead of performing multiple drags to have the intended result? I am aware I can do this reordering with ...

  • Get (x & y) intercept values from linear fit of the linear region of a curve/data and store them in a new column

I have JMP data table with data from several parts for which a Capacitance 'C' has been measured as a function of reverse voltage 'V' (0 to -5 V in -0.1V step). A plot of [1/C]^2 vs V has a linear part for small reverse bias (say from 0 V to -0.5V and data is available at 0, -0.1, -0.2, -03, -0.4 -0.5 V within this range). How to do a linear fit to the points between 0 to -5V for each part, extrac...

  • Debugger report for finding bottlenecks

I'm trying to find bottlenecks in a large script with many includes.  I can run the debugger to profile the script but I'm wondering if there's a better way than just looking through each included script for the highest number.  I'm imagining a pareto.     Anyone know a good method to analyze script performance?
