  • User Input List for Regression Report with Interactions

I have an input box where users can select columns to be run in a regression report. This part works great. I then insert the list of columns into a list. I would like to take the list of columns and make different interactions that can be inserted into a regression report. Specifically, I am interested in slightly more complicated interactions (i.e. Column 1 * Column 2 ^2) When I try to put anyth...

  • Rotate MAP North South

    Hello,

Does JMP have the capability to rotate a map North/South as oppose to simply using Lat Longs? If I have a SHP file within this map would that rotate as well?

    Thanks!

  • A Cringeworthy Statistic Statement: #2 in a series

Thanks again to all who joined in my first "Cringeworthy" discussion topic.  Very interesting discussion   points were contributed!  I have published a blog post on why I cringe when I hear that first statement.     Here is a second scenario and statement that makes me cringe:     A company experienced a problem with yield on a production line.  The working hypothesis was that it was related to a...

  • Part of JSL code not working in final script, but working if isolated

Warning: Beginner level question   I have a data table to which I am adding a temporary column (:Parameter_new) to fill up with entries if a certain condition is met. The entries I then want to get into another column (:Parameter_old). My impression is that the code behaves differently when it is part of the final script, compared to when I copy individual lines into a different script. When apply...

  • Graph Builder - Mean vs Sum of Histogram

Hello JMP Community, Here is my histogram and the statistics. For example, the sum of traffic volume for the first 3 Mondays. The total volume on Monday is roughly 150000.When I switch the histogram statistic to mean. For example, the average traffic volume for the first 3 Mondays. It's supposed to be roughly 50000 since 150000/3 Mondays, however, it shows a different thing here at about 2000.Plea...

  • Use model script in DOE table but change responses

Hi, I have 10 different DOE tables and each has the DOE  model script. I want to script to use the existing model script in each table and run it with different response column (or replacing the :Y in the model script).

say one of the DOE table is dt and there are added 2 columns into the same table which will be the new responses (Y) for study: col1 and col2. These responses are not in the model s...

  • Help with DOE analysis - Mixing Study

Hello all, I am fairly new to DOE and would appreciate some assistance with the analysis of my data, especially with the correct approach and order to the analysis. I have created a simple mixing design. On the face of it, this is a very simple experiment, which involves mixing three different components to create a composite, conducting some experiments and measuring several outputs. The design i...

  • Variability Chart Platform Factor Re-Insert Positions (Not Swapping)

Hello JMP Community, I understand dragging between any two factors swaps the location pairs in the Variability Chart platform. Is there a way to drag to specifically re-insert the factors instead? For example, can I drag "Layout" between "Horizontal" and "Wafer ID" in the attached screenshot instead of performing multiple drags to have the intended result? I am aware I can do this reordering with ...

  • Get (x & y) intercept values from linear fit of the linear region of a curve/data and store them in a new column

I have JMP data table with data from several parts for which a Capacitance 'C' has been measured as a function of reverse voltage 'V' (0 to -5 V in -0.1V step). A plot of [1/C]^2 vs V has a linear part for small reverse bias (say from 0 V to -0.5V and data is available at 0, -0.1, -0.2, -03, -0.4 -0.5 V within this range). How to do a linear fit to the points between 0 to -5V for each part, extrac...

  • Debugger report for finding bottlenecks

I'm trying to find bottlenecks in a large script with many includes.  I can run the debugger to profile the script but I'm wondering if there's a better way than just looking through each included script for the highest number.  I'm imagining a pareto.     Anyone know a good method to analyze script performance?
