  • Adding a covariate after definitive screening design is complete?

Hello,  I finished up a DSD recently and found that we had to use an alternative raw material on several runs due shortages from our regular supplier. This alternative raw has shown to boost yields in past runs, but is very expensive and not something we can regularly source, so was not part of the experimental plan. I'm afraid this alternative raw has skewed my results & I'm wondering if there's ...

  • Analysis tool for comparing the performance of media and feed for CHO cell

    Hi everyone,
I am evaluating different media and feeds on CHO cell clone for selection of best combination which result in desired product quality.
After performing fed batches with combination, I have many data point and would like to use tool to get the best performing condition in compare to innovator product quality. Earlier I used clustering but I didn't get meaningful insights because it is al...

  • How can I reverse the axis of this ternary plot in JMP?

Dear JMP experts, I am making a ternary plot in JMP and want to reverse all axes. Unfortunately, the reverse order option is blocked in this setting. Do you know how I can fix this?. Thank you in advance.

  • Surface plot with wrong response values

Hi, everyone. I hope someone can help me.  I am working with some RSM results, but everytime I create a graph JMP gives me values I don't have in my results. How can I adjust conversion axis to fit my results ? I don't mean to rescale, but to create the right graph ?  (I'm using MacOS right now, but I tried on Windows and JMP versions 17 and 18)  Thank you in advance.

  • How can I add extra runs into the designed runs from Definitive Screening Design?

Dear JMP experts,  I am Chau Dang, and new to JMP. I used JMP to make design for my experiments. I selected a Definitive Screening Design (DSD) with 6 variables to create 17 runs for my experimental set. During the time of conducting the experiments, I made 7 extra runs (not designed by DSD) with the same variables. In the end, I want to analyze the results from 17 runs (from DSD) and 7 extra runs...

  • Central Composite Design Output Question

Good afternoon, I ran two different experiments using a CCD and received confusing results for both. Each experiment represents 2 different materials, they are not replicates of each other. Each experiment was a face-centered CCD with 2 blocks, each block being a replicate. Each block does have variation within the samples. I assume the block is not significant in the model because there’s a good ...

  • Help with default view summary statistics

    Folks,
I use .jmp 14 for analysis. I am looking for a way to only permanently display only 4 statistics of use to me -Mean, Std.Dev, Mode and Observations. I manually uncheck it each time by clicking on summary. I have also checked under preferences in var chart and unchecked the other non relevant statistics apart from these 4 but it doesn't work. Is that a limitation with. Jmp 14? Any help would ...

  • Creating DOE (and fitting) for non-linear response

Hello, I am still new to JMP but I'm trying to determine the best way to model a non-linear system (generating DOE + model fitting). Context: Long story short, I have a large experimental space that I am trying to model (10 discrete variables + 10 continuous variables). Before I jump into my full experiment I'm working with a subset (1 discrete variable + 5 continuous variables) to make sure I'm m...

  • Robust vs. Non Robust Response Screening/ Categorical Outliers

Hello! I appreciate your help in advance!  I am currently trying to figure out the proper way to analyze my data!  I had used the DOE feature of JMP to create this fraction factorial of 24 runs for m experiment. The goal is two screen which categories have the most effect on the success rate. I had initially use the response screening option to analyze my results, when I did that none of my values...

  • Process development with multiple factors

Hi everyone, I'm currently engaged in a process development project with the goal of 1) minimizing the total process time while 2) maintaining or enhancing the yield. This objective is similar to viral vector production case, where maximizing virus yield in the shortest production time is crucial. After consulting with subject matter experts, we've pinpointed 10 factors for potential modification....

  • Do 3rd order effects help define curvature?

If you have are making a design with a factor you are certain will have a quadratic relationship against a response but you have a wide range, can it be helpful to define a 3rd order model effect for that factor to better identify and model curvature. I work in purification and we often deal with a recovery vs. purity balance. This relationship is usually quadratic around the optimal, where at a l...
