  • Verify and use existing Definitive Screen design with JMP?

Hello,I obtained a Definitive Screen design for a DOE Experiment by ChatGPT 4.0. It looks reasonable (after several discussions). Can JMP verify if the Definitive Screen Design is acceptable? if I have an existing Definitive Screen design, can I use it and afterwards evaluate the experimental results of such measurements by JMP? Or does JMP only evaluate its own Designs?

  • Opposite to augment DOE, hou could I quickly determine the DOE I need to remove to maximize the D-efficiency of resting DOE?

Hi Pals, I have collected 30 historical DOE which is not orthogonal at all. On JMP 17, the resulted D-efficiency is only 32 so I want to remove the most 1~3 nonorthogonal DOE before I augment any DOE. Is there any quick way to do that? Thanks! Currently, I can only manually recoginize the most nonorthogonal DOE from scatterplot matrix based on the design uniformity and re-calcuate the D-efficiency...

  • force levels in DoE

Hello,I was asked to build a DoE with continuous factors. However, the client wanted to have some levels (up to 5 for some factors) tested. How may I force a custom D-optimal design to use these levels?I thought bouilding the D-optimal DoE entering the factors as discrete numeric with the desired levels and then analysing them as continuous when the DoE has been performed. Is there any better way t...

  • leave-one-out or k-fold cross-validation methods??

We recieved the reviewer comment as follow:to confirm the utility of the cut-off value, validation would be needed. However, in this cohort, validation analysis was not performed. As the sample size was small, it would be difficult to perform external validation study. however, internal validation (or cross-validation) analysis might be able by statistical methods such as leave-one-out or k-fold c...

  • Search functionality for substructures of SMILES

For Spotfire exists an Addin (Signals Inventa, former signal leads discovery) in which you can select a substructure of a SMILES graph and then search a database for all SMILES graphs that contain this substructure (isomorphic search). Does anyone know if there is software available with this functionality that could (easily) be connected to JMP?

  • DOE CCD

Dear community,  I am working with 7 factors, and one of them is a quality factor. I was planning to start with a screening analysis using a fractional factorial design (2^7-2) resolution (IV). I would like to add some center points to test curvature, but one of my factors is not a number but is quality factor (like material), I am not pretty sure how to deal with this factor and how to process it...

  • Multi component, multi supplier and multi concentration DoE design

I am trying to create a DoE design in which I have 3 supplement types and each supplement have 3 different suppliers. I would like to test more than 3 concentrations for each supplement. So I would need to use discrete numeric design, however this would mean that JMP's suggestion on the ideal concentration wouldn't be outside of these predetermined numbers. Another issue I seem to be facing with i...

  • Is a D optimal Design useful in this case?

I have the following problem for which an experimental design has to be created: The stress at a certain point of a model is to be determined by FEA. This model is varied by setting three different parameters. These parameters are to be varied in such a way that the stress is minimized. The stress should be the target value. Angle, modulus and radius are the factors whose influence must be investi...

  • Process development with multiple factors

Hi everyone, I'm currently engaged in a process development project with the goal of 1) minimizing the total process time while 2) maintaining or enhancing the yield. This objective is similar to viral vector production case, where maximizing virus yield in the shortest production time is crucial. After consulting with subject matter experts, we've pinpointed 10 factors for potential modification....

  • Do 3rd order effects help define curvature?

If you have are making a design with a factor you are certain will have a quadratic relationship against a response but you have a wide range, can it be helpful to define a 3rd order model effect for that factor to better identify and model curvature. I work in purification and we often deal with a recovery vs. purity balance. This relationship is usually quadratic around the optimal, where at a l...

  • Neural networks that learn and predict in real time (incremental learning)

Hello community!!A query:- How JMP is configured to generate neural networks that learn from their inputs in real time (incremental learning) in such a way that it continually updates its weights according to new inputs and generates updated real-time predictions.Greetings,Marco

  • Which predictive analysis method/column organisation for RSM output with duplicate samples

Hi all. So I'm working on a project where I have 2 x component classes, each of which has 4 items within the class, which are mixed together at varying concentrations over 48 combinations. Figured the best Factor way to do this was to use 2 x Continuous for the max/min concentrations for each class, then 2 x 4-level Categoricals for each of the items. Each of the combinations was made twice, so af...

  • Could JMP optimize factors with uncertainty?

Hello community!!,A question: will it be possible for the profiler to find the best combinations of factors with uncertainty when performing a simulation, which maximize the total utility and minimize the total cost, generating a table of the best combinations found? For example:
