  • update table using JSL without adding missing columns

I'm trying to update the values of a specific column in a data table using values in another data table. The update function seems like the logical choice but it always seems to add extra unmatched columns to the updated table. From the update utility there is an option for this However there isn't any mention of this in either the scripting index or in the help search. I've tried     dt << upda...

  • Box-plot + dot plot + half violin plot

Dear all, does anyone know if with JMP it is possible to create a graph showing the box-plots with the points inside each box and showing half of a violin plot.
In practice, a graph similar to the one attached, but with the points inside each box-plot. Thanks Giuseppe

  • Mixture Design with Linear Constraints

    I'm trying to set up a mixture design with 6 factors for a formulation. The first 5 factors should add up to exactly 0.5, and the 6th factor is a "dummy" factor that should always be 0.5. When I try to set this up in JMP I am unable to get it to generate a design with these constraints. I am trying to enforce these constraints by having both:1 * X1 + 1 * X2 + 1 * X3 + 1 * X4 + 1 * X5 + 0 * X6 ≤ 0....

  • Issue fitting the model after Augment Design

Hi JMP users, I initially ran DSD, then, Augment Design hoping to build a better model. Now, I want to do side by side comparison of the initial model built by DSD and an potentially 'improved' model after Augment Design. I am trying to fit the model that encompasses all the factors/levels and responses to build a model post-Augment Design. Strangely, the JMP allows me to fit the model only on fac...

  • How do i rename column header name with existing string?

Hi, I am trying to rename multiple column header name that consists a particular string but rename it with the existing string while remove the front portion of the string. Example: ABC_12::ABCD_AB_ABCDEF_A_ABCDE_X_X_A1_1234_ABCD_TESTING_AB_TEST_ABCD_TESTED_AB_A1 --> TESTING_AB_TEST_ABCD_TESTED_AB_A1 The number of character on the first part of the string (orange) will always be consistent, the 2n...

  • Customize Response Surface model picking weird number other than lower/center/upper level.

Hi all, I ran a initial DSD and now trying to follow up with Custom Design with some interaction term mimicking RSM. I set the range of lower and upper limit of each factor unless "fixed factors" as you can see below and added some interaction terms. Then I made the design without having center points/ replicates with I-optimality, which created 15 treatments by default. Most of the values generate...

  • can i block runs in a DOE after the experiments are run?

Hello, i am wondering if it is possible to group runs into blocks after i have run all experiments in a DOE.   i would do this in the case that i can't control how many runs i am able to do per day (maybe due to random equipment downtime or other uncontrollable factors), and i would like to group runs done in a single day into blocks.  typically, it seems like runs are grouped into blocks at the p...

  • Question about generating all possible outcomes and determining CVs

Hi, I'm a basic user of JMP using version 15. What I am trying to do is determine the optimal plate layout for a high throughput assay which minimizes the plate location biases. To do this I'm testing the sample dose response curve across 3 plates in all the positions and I have my results. So what I have is 10 reported values for each of the 3 plates and I want to know what plate location combina...

  • Why the Custom designs don't have a Pattern column in the design table?

The design tables from the Classical design platform usually have a pattern column, which contains entries that summarize the run in the given row, like "+--", "000", or "+++". Why the Custom designs don't have a pattern column in the design table?

  • Warning message for Gaussian Process: Likelihood estimation algorithm did not converge

Dear JMP experts,I recently conducted a space-filling DOE with Latin Hypercube design of 700 runs. I then use the Gaussian process to fit the data. The 'Actual by Predicted Plot' looks very nice and most of the data lies perfectly along the 45-degree line. However, I got a warning message says:Warning: Likelihood estimation algorithm did not converge. Please find attached the Gaussian process Mode...

  • DoE with two-choice experiments, continuous response variable

We want to rank the preference  of population of animals for n different recipes. Recipes are tested in two-choice assays, where groups of over 100 individuals can choose one choice or the other. Preference for the group is computed as a preference index, a continuous variable that is between -1 and 1. Is there an experimental design that would help reduce the number of combinations to test in ord...

  • Sub-sampling data analysis in JMP

In Biology (Plant Sci. and Agriculture) usually we have sub-sampling data for replicates. It's very difficult to analyze these data in commonly use Stat S/W (SPSS/Minitab) because MSS(Error) is calculating wrongly.  Without taking averages of samsamples, the easiest S/W for this is using JMP and I need some assistance for this. I've found very useful Youtube video about subsampling in JMP  (CRD: S...
