How do I copy columns with formulas from one data table into another data table, while preserving the formulas?

Many of them are even harder to find than the shortcut to start @julian 's Microwave.

Hi everyone,
I have a JMP script that merges multiple tables into a single output table (see code snippet below).
Even though I’m trying to keep it hidden using:
Data Table("Combined_Output_Table") << Invisible(1);
the data table window still pops up briefly when it’s created (especially when using Concatenate or Join).
Is there a reliable way to keep the table from opening at all while th...
After recoding a categorical variable (either with 'recode' or If) in JMP 18 pro, the old category “Either” still appears in the results — especially in the Odds Ratio output of a logistic regression — even though no rows in the new column contain that value anymore. It seems JMP continues to recognize “Either” as an existing level of the variable, and there is no visible option to actually delete...
Hey JMP peps! Is there a way to use a column format to make an integer value be zero padded? I know you can make a new formula and use right(:col, 5, "0") to get zero padding but it creates a new column that is a character Data type. In excel, you can use a format of "00000" to get zero padding up to five digits (to match the right() example above). Thanks for any ideas! Steve

What would be a simple column formula to obtain unique values with large datasets (100k rows)? Is this possible? For example, looking at Cars.jmp. The distribution platform gives already the number of levels (unique elements), but I couldn't find a formula column able to calculate these. Make column --> 37 levels (different manufacturers). This is often called cardinality, distinct, or number of u...
Hi all,
I have a column Timestamp UTC in JMP with values like 2025-10-31T08:30:00.
I want to create a new column Timestamp Local that converts this UTC time to local time
Is there a simple formula-based way to add 5.5 hours to my timestamp directly in a column formula, without scripting or using Date Add?
Something like:
Informat(:Timestamp UTC, "yyyy-mm-ddThh:mm:ss") + (4 * 3600)
but I’m not sur...

Dear all
I am assigned a task to perform recurrence analysis on our data.
The data we have are robot repairs. We want to see repair events and cost in response to accumulated transactions using recurrence analysis.
I attached a simulated data for this question. It only has three bots since we haven't decided how to arrange the data and I just put those three bots manually. I will update with more ...
In Tables / subset, the user can decide if a column formula is copied and if the evaluation is suppressed:
Is there a hidden option which does the same trick for Tables/Update?
great for "documentation"great for "what if" ...on the other hand: one cannot guarantee that all input columns for the formula will be available in the target data table.
-> default option "suppress formula evaluation"?
I'm trying to run R code in JMP to create a plot. I succeeded in importing the plot in png format, but failed to adjust the size of the plot.
I can adjust the "plot_from_R" in png format with the set size(); function in jsl, but it is not proportional and distorted.
How can I import plot_from_R in the size I want?
