  • Alphabetical Ranking of Nominal Data

If I have a column of nominal data where the inputs can occur more than once, is there a way to have a column whereby the output is the alphabetical ranking of the input?  I can go the scripting route but I'd prefer a simple column formula.

  • For Loop to Create Columns with Moving average formulas

I'm very new to jmp, trying to move from spreadsheets for big datasets.  I'm trying to create a series of columns to calculate different moving averages for a data column (xV-C).  I have most of the code working to create the columns, but the formula for each created column uses the for-loop variable (j) instead of the value for the for-loop (10, 11, 12...) for each column.  I think I need to do s...

  • Looking for JSL Scripting suggestions on how to import a .CSV file with multiple embedded headers.

Hello,I'm creating a JMP JSL script to import a specific format of .CSV and graph the data.  The problem I have is that the .CSV has header lines interspersed with the data.  Think of it as multiple CSV's concatenated together.  The good news is that all of the column names are the same.  What is the recommendation on how to import this type of CSV and remove the extra headers?  Is there a way to ...
