  • Changing colors in compare means analysis

Hi, Comparing multiple groups and hitting the "compare all means."I always find it challenging to understand which circle belongs to which group.I tried color-coding the groups, but I still can’t get the circles to change their colors. I know JMP is programmed to indicate statistically significant groups by marking red vs. gray, but that is not helpful to my purposes. I copied the picture and over...

  • JSL- Formula for calculating column average for last x rows per ID

I am trying to create a column formula to calculate the average for the last 30 sets of data per cycle run (shown in the example below):I have been able to achieve this, however I would like to be able to calculate the average per "ID" rather than the entire data set per test cycle. The formula I have used is shown below:If( Row() == Col Max( Row(), :Cycle ), Mean( As Column( "Output, mV" )[Index...

  • Fit Spline for multiple columns and saving predicted values

Hi all,    I have a lot of different columns from an FTIR spectra experiment, and in order to correct the baseline, I need to perform a Fit Spline on each column (one column = one spectra). I would like to do this automatically using JSL, so I don't have to save hundreds of "Predicted values" by hand.  I tried to create a code but somehow it doesn't want to save the values or put 0 in each columns...

  • How to write a formula that counts number of rows that are not excluded?

I am trying to write a simple formula that will count the number of rows in my datatable that are not excluded. I want the total to be updated as I change row states using the graph builder. In another part of the formula I was able to successfully use the Excluded () function, e.g.  <jsl> X = Col Sum( :MG1_2520_LH_Setting, Excluded() ); However, I am using N Rows() to count the total number of ro...

  • Rescaling Y-axis in Control Charts based on LSL or USL in JMP

Hello everyone,I've been working on control charts in JMP and I'm looking to rescale the Y-axis based on the Lower Specification Limit (LSL) or Upper Specification Limit (USL). Could someone guide me on how to achieve this in JMP? I want the Y-axis to dynamically adjust based on the LSL or USL to better visualize the data in relation to the specification limits. Thank you in advance!

  • Turn off box plot in variability chart using JSL

Hi All,  Does anyone know why the following script failed to turn off the box plot and cell mean? I copy this script after I manually created the variability plot. However, if I run the script, the box plot and cell mean are not turn off. I am currently using JMP17. The only workaround I found is by using either of the two options below :1. << (Variability Analysis[1] << Show Box Plots( 0 ))2. << ...

  • Tracking down a cycle error

When I open a data table, I get a cycle detected error that I have to ignore every time. I can't seem to figure out what is causing the error although it apparently has something to do with the table variable in my column formula.  Here is the formula: and here is the log entry showing the issue  Can anyone help me understand what is going on here? The data table actually works fine after I click ...

  • graph builder bug - x group shift

(JMP 17, MacOS) I have a JSL scripts that creates multiple graph builder charts, but in some of them, and it's not repeatable always - some of the x groups  are getting different height, causing also the data plotted to be shifted. Another issue - is that I can't set the X group lables text to be 90 degrees rotated to fit long strings without making the chart too wide. This is supported for X var...

  • Project ignoring H Splitter Box Set Sizes . . . sometimes

I'm working with a JMP 17 Project and have a script to import a CSV file, embed a script into the Data Table, and execute the embedded script. The embedded script creates a graph from the data and sets the Project layout. All of these pieces, executed individually, work as intended. The problem I am having is that when I execute the combined script, the outer H Splitter Box ignores <<Set Sizes and...
