  • How to Run JMP 18 script using JMP 16?

I am currently using JMP 18. However, many of my colleagues are still using JMP 16 and they couldn't run my script. Some few colleagues have both JMP 16 and 18. They could run the script on JMP 18 but not on JMP 16. How do I code this so that JMP 16 users can also run my script?

  • Extract Expr

I am a big fan of Eval(Substitute(Expr(...), Expr(..), Expr(.))): ) The only disadvantage: the Expr(...), Expr(..), Expr(.)... which brought me to the idea of subst() - substitute() 2.0  ... a function which doesn't evaluate it's arguments.
While playing around with Expression Handling, I noticed that the desired logic for Subst() is quite close to the one of Extract Expr(): no need to use Expr(), ...

  • Some Insights on Dynamic Column Formulas

Being a JSL beginner, I find I often struggle with script interpretation. If I find a script in a discussion that seems to address my problem and try to customize it, I often break it and have a hard time understanding how to fix it. During my JSL scripting journey I have heavily relied on this forum for assistance -- both searching the extensive archives for past answers and asking for help if th...

  • Graph builder: Saving y-axis scale and ref lines while using column switcher

Hello, I am making plots in graph builder that look at how observations look relative to limits. I have rescaled the y-axis and would like to add reference lines too. I do this and looks good. However when I add the column switcher to go through different observations the rescaled y-axis and ref lines disappear. Does anyone know how I would get them to stay while using column switcher to loop thro...

  • graph builder bug - x group shift

(JMP 17, MacOS) I have a JSL scripts that creates multiple graph builder charts, but in some of them, and it's not repeatable always - some of the x groups  are getting different height, causing also the data plotted to be shifted. Another issue - is that I can't set the X group lables text to be 90 degrees rotated to fit long strings without making the chart too wide. This is supported for X var...

  • Project ignoring H Splitter Box Set Sizes . . . sometimes

I'm working with a JMP 17 Project and have a script to import a CSV file, embed a script into the Data Table, and execute the embedded script. The embedded script creates a graph from the data and sets the Project layout. All of these pieces, executed individually, work as intended. The problem I am having is that when I execute the combined script, the outer H Splitter Box ignores <<Set Sizes and...
