  • Columns containing numbers and numbers with a letter

Dear JMP community,I have a problem with opening a data table and I use the JMP 17 version.I have a data table (xlsx file) with many columns containing numbers and strings. Some of the columns contain both numbers and strings. • Shortcut to select/highlight variable name

Before the JMP16 Name() parser change for variable names (examples shown below), the Ctl+ ] keyboard shortcut would highlight/select the entire variable name and the bounding ().  This was very convenient for copying/pasting variable names in my JSL code.  Does a similar or new keyboard shortcut exist that does the same thing but for the newly constructed variable name?  That is, highlight/select ...

  • Storing data tables as metadata (table variables) JSL

Table variables are used to store metadata within a data table (JSL doc, general doc) However, they seem to be limited to variables as strings only (see code below). What would be the best option to store a data table as a table variable? Names Default To Here( 1 ); dt = Open( "$SAMPLE_DATA/Big Class.jmp" ); dt_metadata = Open( "$SAMPLE_DATA/Solubility.jmp" ); dt << Set Table Variable( "dt_user...

  • JSL MouseBox doesn't save to Journal JMP 17 vs JMP 16

Hello,  I am using a scrip that saves a report in a journal and have noticed a change between JMP 16 and JMP 17 that breaks some of its functionality. If I save a window to the journal in JMP 16, the MouseBox interactions work just like they did in the JMP window, but in JMP 17 I've found that MouseBox doesn't save to the journal at all. Is this an intended change? Any ideas on possible workaroun...

  • How can I achieve automated analysis through scripting languages

I have been getting started with scripting languages recently, and I want to use editing languages to automate the equivalence testing of reduced models. However, after the equivariance test, it is unclear how to use script language editing to enable the software to select equivariance or unequal variance equivalence tests based on Levene results .

  • graph builder bug - x group shift

(JMP 17, MacOS) I have a JSL scripts that creates multiple graph builder charts, but in some of them, and it's not repeatable always - some of the x groups  are getting different height, causing also the data plotted to be shifted. Another issue - is that I can't set the X group lables text to be 90 degrees rotated to fit long strings without making the chart too wide. • Project ignoring H Splitter Box Set Sizes . . . sometimes

I'm working with a JMP 17 Project and have a script to import a CSV file, embed a script into the Data Table, and execute the embedded script.
