  • Python Code unable to generate output in JSL (JMP 17 Pro)

    Hello All,   I have a JSL script that creates a Datatable, and I have a python code block within the JSL script which I want to pass the DataTable to make predictions on the DataTable using a trained machine learning model. Before the python code block, the DataTable is accessible and even opens in JMP. However, after the python code block when I try to access the predictions made by the neural ne...

  • Why does the Sum of Squares under "Effect Tests" not add up to the overall model's Sum of Squares?

    Hi all,   I fitted a simple model with one continuous and one nominal variable using Standard Least Squares. Now I am wondering why the sums of squares seem to mismatch under Analysis of Variance and Effect Tests. I am on JMP 18.0.1. 3.16 and 0.01 do not give the overall model's SS of 3.37. It's like some 0.2 are missing. Could anyone please explain why that is?   This particularly puzzles me bec...

  • Detection Limit in Definitive Screening Design

    I'm running a DSD DOE in JMP18 Pro with 2 categorical factors (Factor A (level A1, A2), Factor B (level B1, B2) and 2 continuous factors (Factor C, Factor D). My goal is to select the better Level in each Factor A, and B (e.g., either A1 or A2, B1 or B2) including any two-way interaction terms for all factors and estimate the quadratic terms in Factor C, D. I chose to add 8 more runs with blocks t...

  • Changing frame size of just one of two parallel graphs in graph builder?

    Hello everyone, I am still quite new to jmp and I hope, I was not hopelessly blind and did oversee an already existing topic. I am a pro at this one.So, my problem is:I want to create box plots that first start with all results plotted in one box followed by the results of different collectives. I was able to create this kind of figure using the Graph Builder by creating two parallel graphs (see p...

  • Control PDF resolution while saving a journal as PDF

    I create JMP journal based reports which I then save as PDF for sharing. The saved PDF sizes are currently typically >20MB. I am wondering if it is possible to control (in my JSL script for saving) the resolution of the graphics so as to bring the sizes of PDF reports below 10MB? If yes, could I please get an example?

  • Nested Lists

    I have somehow generated a nested list of columns due to them having been initially grouped.  I would like to remove the nesting to have a continuous list of columns I can act on.   Instead of {{:A, :B, :C}, (:D, :E, :F}}, I would like to get to {:A, :B, :C, :D, :E, :F}

  • Discovery summit book signings - official list of books?

    Fellow JMP enthusiasts! During the 2024 Manchester Discovery Summit I was surprised to learn that the handing out and signing of books is a tradition. So, I am wondering whether there is a list of the books handed out & signed so far. If it exists, where to find it?I thoroughly enjoyed reading "Bitch" by Lucy Cooke, and I have a feeling "Hello World" by Hannah Frey will be a good read too.

  • Question About F-Tests in GLMMs with Binomial Errors

    Hi,
    I have a question regarding Generalized Linear Mixed Models (GLMMs) in JMP pro. Most statisticians consider it inappropriate to use F-tests or t-tests to evaluate predictor contributions in GLMs or GLMMs with binomial errors. This is because F- and t-tests are based on sums of squares, which assume normally distributed residual errors.
    While using a logit link function helps linearize the relati...

  • How to adjust the size of R plot imported with get R graphics(); ?

    I'm trying to run R code in JMP to create a plot. I succeeded in importing the plot in png format, but failed to adjust the size of the plot. I can adjust the "plot_from_R" in png format with the set size(); function in jsl, but it is not proportional and distorted. How can I import plot_from_R in the size I want?   R Init(); R Submit( "\[ windows(300,100) #it doesn't work plot(function(x) dnorm(...
