What inspired this wish list request? Please describe the current issue that needs improvement or the problem to be solved that is not easy or possible right now, with an example use case. We enjoy modeling and seeing effects of factors in JMP. Most often we use a LS Means Plot to show our clients the categoric factor effects. These graphs are usually simple enough for non-statistician clients to understand. What is the improvement you would like to see? Please describe the idea for improving JMP. Please include mock-ups, wireframes, screenshots, scripts, other documents or examples from other software that help describe the change you would like to see. For some reason, the default JMP x-axis sorting of a categoric factor LS means plot is alphabetically, by factor name. However, the factor values are often scattered visually on the y-axis, since the factor LS mean is what it is, and somewhat random. The alphabetical categoric factor name makes no real sense, to the viewer, as they glance at the graph. Most people need to see high-to-low or low-to-high effects. Please add a "sort by effect magnitude" button on the LS Means plots with a second input of low-to-high or high-to-low. Why is this idea important? Please describe the value to you and/or other users if the idea is implemented (for example, ease of use, must have,…). Clients of JMP analyses, not necessarily the JMP user, will understand the information at a glance. JMP users will not have to manually recreate the information in a powerpoint or excel graph, saving much time.
