Someone already requested a better search and replace function in the JSL editor. I agree with that because the existing one seems confusing to me. But what I would really like to see are bookmark capabilities in the JSL editor, with control via key strokes. Ex: ctrl+F2 toggles the bookmark on / off. F2 moves to next bookmark. Shift F2 moves to previous bookmark.   Related: There's an F3 function where if you have text highlighted it will skip to the next time that string is encountered, but it would be nice to have a shift-F3 that goes in the opposite direction (up).  Never mind this last part... During the curation phase of a text exploration, it would be beneficial to be able to recode recoded words or phrases.  The process of curation typically involves cleaning up the data, exploring the results, and then determining if another round of curation is necessary.  Often times there are cumulative recodes that are necessary to get the context included into a term or phrase.  For example,  first I need to recode and group the terms Smelled and Smelling into Smells.  Then I can find phrases of Smells Good or Smells Bad and so I would Add phrases to my term list.  However, there are multiple variations of these phrases and if any of the phrases include a term that is already recoded, then the phrase can no longer be modified (even though the newly recoded phrase will show up in the Recoded term list).  So I would no longer be able to modify Smelled Good and Smelling Good into a new phrase, "All Smells good phrases".   An example can be seen with the sample Pet Survey.   Steps:   Analyze > Text Explorer Select all terms > Recode Group similar values > OK Select a few phrases such as Dogs Bark and Dogs Food Add phrase Term list Select the 2 added phrases Recode >Group these 2 phrases and give them a new Name (to make it easy to find) such as "Dog stuff" Not all phrases will be recoded (although a peek at the Managed Recodes will show that this change has been made).   In this example it might not make sense to make  "Dog stuff" but I am trying to show the issue.  An actual example might include perfume comments.  Imagine I first need to recode all related synonyms (Scent, scents, smell, smells, smelled, odor, fragrance....ect).  Next I want to add phrases that provide some context such as Good scent, Great smell, Amazing perfume and recode the phrases into a Positive Scent or a Negative Scent group.  This is where the recode evolution would be useful. ... Provide a builtin "Recall" message to all objects created by the New Window function. The Recall message should traverse the whole display tree and revert the state of all display boxes to the last state recorded state when the window was closed last time or when a "Store Window State" message was sent. In Control Chart Builder, you cannot save control limits if subgroup sizes are not constant.  Of course, this is because control limits are a function of subgroup size (in addition to the mean and variance).  However, this makes it difficult to lock down control limits for Phase II.  With fixed values for the mean and variance, control limits could still accommodate variable subgroup sizes in Phase II charting. The column property "Sigma" already exists, but we would need an additional column property for the mean. Proposal: Add a menu option to Control Chart Builder "Save Average and Standard Deviation" or something similar.  Result is column properties "Sigma" and "Average" are populated.  These are used to construct control limits when the column is plotted in CCB and is indifferent to subgroup size. ... When I do a bivariate fit to plot data by datetime and set increment at 1 week, I want the major gridlines  and the labels to always appear at each Friday. I would like to add preview in table join display not to make misstakes. The table join function can consume huge memory especially when we have the data table with the same row value or missing records. (In that case, JMP tries to add each row value to all matching values.)   I know we can make it work if we check the box with "Drop multiples", but the beginner often makes mistakes without noticing that function.   Thank you.   ... It would be great is the JMP report for a control chart could display the run rule violations that are being tested (Not just the ones that have been violated).  Ideally this would be some sort of footnote underneath each plot.  This would help insure that the correct run rules were evaluated during a review. ... I suggest a lean project for JMP improvment.   I've worked 5 years on train with Mintiab on a laptop without mouse...no problem.   Using JMP seemst to me like a ego shooter, ..click here, click there, adapt scale, ....many actions are defined by double click, click+shift Some option settings in the evaluations screens, like same Y-scale for each graph (instead of left mouse click Y-Axis, right-click, edit-copy Axis settings, left mouse click +shift or ctrl, right-click, edit-paste Axis settings)-->7 clicks instead of 1...   Hope that this is not an Error 40 issue (40cm in front of the screen)... ... My three suggestions are thus: -1- It would be very handy to be able to create univariate or multivariate Hidden Markov Models (HMM) using JMP Pro in order to detect anomalies in spatiotemporal series data.  -2- It is important to find a way to combine JMP Pro capabilities with spatial analysis software (e.g., QGIS, and ArcGIS). -3- Having wavelet denoising techniques available would be great.  Best wishes ... Unless I've missed some update i find the way of opening online databases via API extremely clunky via scripting. What I'd like is the ability to navigate to a website from within JMP and login to the db and JMP remembers the information (generates the script for you) to be run on other occurrences. ... Let's say you are running a One-way ANOVA with 5 groups.  You test for equal variance and conclude that the assumption of equal variance does not hold.  You then evaluate Welch's test.  The p-value from Welch's test indicates that the 5 group means are not equal.  Is there a simple way to run a multiple comparison test (to compare the 5 means or a Dunnett's like test to compare 4 of the means to a control group) when you have unequal variance?    Ideally, this would be an option found in the "red triangle" when using Fit Y by X (for the One-way ANOVA case).  Perhaps found in the Compare Means choices (see attached for a possible example).   Thanks ...
