Like most languages, JSL gives a lot of flexibility as to how to modularise your code to prevent it becoming verbose and to make it more maintainable. For example, you can 'include()' JSL from another file, define namespaces to prevent naming collisions, and define functions that take arguments or expressions that don't in order to repeat work. If you are unfamiliar with JSL and what it can offer, try 'Help > Books > Scripting Guide'. You mention DLLs, and JMP can call these if you need to: http://www.jmp.com/support/help/Dynamic_Link_Libraries.shtml
