Extract numbers from string in JSL
Hi all,I have string containing numbers, letters and symbols. I would like to extract only numbers. For example "48mg/l" becomes 48, "24" remains 24, etc. It has to be done in JSL.Thanks!
Find courses, tutorials, and lots of other methods of learning JMP.

In the attached data table are two data columns V and T. If one looks at the containes Graph the points show a nice curve. Now one is interested in the first order derivative dV/dT. Some software shall have a derivative function as part of the formulae that can be entered for a column; something like derivative (V, T) that calculates derivatives right away from the data. As far as I know JMP does...

I have journal with a series of outline boxes (these are my "section" boxes). Each section box further contains bulleted text ("introduction to analysis") followed by an outline box (that contains JMP platform results), which is followed by bulleted text (discussion and conclusion). How would you replace the outline box that contains JMP platform results? Once I delete this outline box, I can only...

This may be a naïve question but I am confused about the 4PL equation used by jmp in curve fitting. I have a dataset of two variable and I choose: analyze>modeling>nonlinearThen I plot the data and the red fit-curve button gives the option: Sigmoid curves>logistic curves>Fit logistic 4PNow my question is; the equation used by jmp is f(x).
Hi All,i am trying to use Label inside the graph instead of outside where it has replaced the number.is there any way to do that. i dont want to add a text box which moves in both x and Y with scale change.ThanksRam

Hi, When I want to run stability analysis in JMP, I click the following: Analyze-> Reliability and survival -> Degradation. If my data has an increasing trend and I provide the upper specification limit, the result is fine and is what I expect. If my data has a decreasing trend and I provide the lower specification limit, the result is also fine. However, if my data has an increasing trend and I h...
Hi!I was wondering if anyone already tried to work with Co-Kriging, using JMP together with Matlab. As JMP only fits Ordinary Kriging Models (Gaussian Process with Gaussian Correlation Function), I would like to send data (generated with Space Filling JMP Platform) from JMP to Matlab, fit the models there (Matlab), and bring the MODELS back to JMP, to use inside Profile Platform. Do you have any e...
Are there any tricks to get File Exists() to work with an internal html path (internal meaning a network drive represented as an html path and not UNC path)? So far I cannot get it to recognize a file path that exists using the html path representation like below. Are there any tricks to make this work or some other file check related command perhaps? DJfile exists("p:\\mypath\test.jsl"); //UNC ...
So I am trying to build clusters in JMP with the cluster analysis but since my data is all categorical,I was wondering if some of the other options would work better. There is blessfully little in the JMP manual on which drop down to use and the internet was not particularly helpful other than suggesting that for all categorical data different algorithms should be used. Any suggestions would be gr...

Hello I would try to generate new table with select where in a script and merge the subset table with another oneI succeed to generate a successful script except when the Select Where doesn't find row with the criteria ?do you know how I can skip the join table part in my script if select where return nothingregardssebastien

I'm trying to interpret the relative contributions of my variables in a discriminant function analysis of chemical data for three groups of rocks. In a stepwise, linear, common covariance discriminant function analysis I'm able to generate non-overlapping 95% confidence ellipses for my three groups with no incorrectly assigned data points using 6 variables. My understanding is that the scoring c...
A former classmate of mine from Graduate School has recently published a paper on Generalized Segmented Distributions. Utilizing this method, the distribution can approach any continuous density function of arbitrary form. The method is particularly effective in fitting data with sufficient observations that are skewed and/or multimodal. The paper can be found here:The General Segmented Distrib...
