  • Imputing Values Below Limit of Detection (LOD)

Hi all, What seems as if a seemingly easy function, isn't available in JMP especially for those involved in forensic chemistry/toxicology. We are often presented with data that is below an instrument threshold (LOD). To compare the results with multivariate statistics we need to impute the values. What this imputed value should be is a point picked out from a distribution in log space since our da...

  • What's the right interpretation of the Homogeneity Test in Recurrence Analysis?

Hello Community! One quick question, JMP documentation states that (in recurrence analysis): Test Homogeneity Tests if the process is homogeneous. and JMP also says that this tests if the scale model is constant 1, but what does it mean with being '1'?  So if we are looking for a good fit, meaning that our Y's (predicted cumulative repairs) are close to Y(actual data),  what P-value should we look...

  • titles of control charts change to standard after saving and reopening

Hello everyone, The control charts I use look like this (I use the german language):But I like to keep the titles short so "Einzelwerte-Regelkarte von Parameter 2" I changed into "Parameter 2".Now when I save this control chart to my data table and open it again it comes up as before with that full title.Does anyone have an idea of how to prevent that? The hing is that I like to include more contro...

  • Applying Boolean Logic to filtering/selecting records in a Dashboard/Application built from multiple platforms

Hi everyone,  I've been working on a systematic map to accompany a literature review on forest bird habitat relationships that is getting much closer to completion. A hearty shout out to community members @cwillden , @txnelson , @danschikore , @brady_brady , and technical support crew Adam Morris, Sarah Seligman, Laura Archer, and Wendy Murphrey for helping me get this project this far along.  I f...

  • Set desirability - Maximize desirability VS Simulation experiments

Hi there,I need your support please to find the optimal conditions which allow having the highest Y1 (yield) while keeping Y2 (impurities) lower than 70.Both responses have equal importance.I’ve tried with “maximize desirability” after setting desirability. When we set desirability, we have 4 options (maximize, minimize, target and none). For Y1: I’ve selected “Maximize”For Y2: I am left with the o...

  • Set Property for Missing Data

Quite certain this is a simple fix for those in the "know" however, i have been struggling to figure it out. I have a pass_fail column when i am doing my limits and need to figure out how to assign "Fail" to missing data.I use the same table to plot distributions so assigning a random number to the missing data could cause problems. Thanks in Advance Column( dt_split, N Cols( dt_split ) ) << Set P...

  • Gentle Introduction to Application Builder

I wanted to share some materials I presented recently to my local regional JMP User's Group in Phoenix about getting started with Application Builder.  The first time I opened Application Builder back in JMP 10, I got frustrated very quickly.  It wasn't until I took a course from JMP on the subject that I was able to really do anything with it.  Since then, I have developed all my JMP applications...

  • Projects Window List in JMP 15 for Mac -- Reorder?

I'm trying to use JMP projects more with the promise of re-using graphs and analyses on new sets of similar data. I'm using the Window List in the UL as a kind of 'table of contents' that I can click into to see/show my findings for various analyses.  There is a flow to the findings which I'd like to order in that Window List.  Is this possible? I can't click and drag an entry for a window up or d...

  • Categorizing term lists for Word Cloud display and/or filtering

Hi all, I have a word cloud based on unstructured text from journal articles. Many of these terms fall into common categories, e.g.: 1) tree species, 2) bird species, or 3) geographic locations. Many of these grouped terms are relevant to my user group, but difficult to locate amongst the large number of terms in my corpus (particularly when uncommon terms don't show up in the Word cloud). I was w...

  • Partial redundancy analysis in JMP

I need to check the effects of three explanatory variables which are 1) fish_length, location, and sex on a set of response variables (PC1…..PC7).
First I need to test the effect of size (fish size), and in case if the effect of fish_length is significant then I need to use the residuals of the first pRDA test to check the effects of location and sex using RDA. Also I will need to use the residuals...
