  • access column values in a formula in a loop

    I want to write a script to create a new column for each column present in the original table; the new column values equal a constant value subtracted from the original column values. How do I access the values in the column?  The 'cnme' reads the column references accurately but Column(cnme) does not read the values in the column Code:
    a = N Col( Data Table( "vert" ) );For( i = 2, i <= a, i++,

  • Progress bars – my personal journey (also questions about manipulating windows in the project environment)

    [JMP 17.0.0]I have a project file I’ve been working on that has many data tables, each with a relatively long-running script I use to generate a journal as output.  I have a separate script in another table that calls each of the individual table scripts, then collates the individual journals into a single journal to create a final report.  [I probably could have made this approach a lot cleaner, ...

  • Increasing level of contours on ternary plot

    Hi all,I need to use a ternary plot since I've run a mixture DOE with 3 variables, I can use my prediction formula to show on my ternary plot but it looks like its locked at 5 levels.  I'd really like to have 6 or 7 levels.  I don't see the options typical in graph builder or when doing a contour plot.  Anyway do increase levels on a ternary plot?  Thanks in advance!  I'm using JMP 17.0.0

  • Choice platform, analysis of discrete choice: random parameters logit analysis?

    Hi there,I have a question concerning the choice platform. I have conducted a discrete choice experiment and analysed it using JMP. I have the choice profiles dataset, and the choices run (or responses) on another. I have done my analysis, and it bears interesting results.A colleague suggested performing a random parameters logit analysis. Is it possible to do it in JMP? How does it differ from th...

  • Caution: Places where Jmp does something unexpected

    Definitely, JMP is Not a Spreadsheet . And that's great!! Besides this difference, there are other places where Jmp doesn't do/behave/produce what a newbie / innocent Jmp user expects.
    If a user knows these issues and the remedies and workarounds -  he/she can
    a) save a lot of time b) be safe from data loss c) be sure that the results are as expected.

  • Capability from a bivariate regression

    Hi I read this post by Phil Kay, and it helped we some of the way towards my goal: https://community.jmp.com/t5/Discussions/Tolerance-Interval-for-Regression/m-p/302845 Would it also be possible to calculate an expected capability from a bivariate regression, if I have a lower and upper spec limit? Example: I have data measured for and Response(Y) at several different temperature levels (X) and I ...
