  • Laney P and U charts in JMP

How can I build Laney P and U charts in JMP?A very common problem when using traditional P and U control charts is false alarms due to overdispersion. David Laney devised P' and U' charts to overcome this problem.False alarms can be caused by too much variation in process data, or “overdispersion,” especially if you collected your data using large subgroups. The larger your subgroups, the narrower...

  • Number line

How do I create a simple elementary school type number line in JMP?  I'd like to plot numbers such as 0.8, 0.9, 0.92, 0.94 on a number line.  I've created a chart, using data statistics with the horizontal & point chart options--how do I get rid of the Y axis so the values will be plotted on the X axis only?

  • PowerPoint Export of Journal

Is there a way to control the formatting of the exported PowerPoint deck?  The exported file needs so much clean up I am not sure if it saves any time over cutting and pasting.  I made a simple journal from the big class data table and a 1 page journal turns into a 5 page PowerPoint. The resulting PowerPoint is attached.

  • Degrees of freedom in post-hoc t-tests

Hi, I have a question regarding the post-hoc t-tests in JMP. I run a repeated measures ANOVA with one random and two fixed factors. The two-way interaction between the fixed factors is included. (Y=random(A) + A + B + A*B). Following a significant A*B effect, I use the 'effect details' option to do post-hoc t-tests, Bonferroni-corrected for the number of comparisons. But. When I chose 'detailed co...
