  • How do I generate an AUC p value

When running a logistic regression I do get the whole model fit p value. nevertheless in many papers I read they report on p values of the AUC speicificaly, and from my understanding this is a p-value that tests the null hypothesis that the area under the curve really equals 0.50. It seems that other softwares do provide this by default. I would appreciate your suggestion on this matter.

  • Blocked DSD results in quadratic effect confounding

I created a 20 run blocked 7-factor DSD with 5 continuous & 2 categorical effects. There are five blocks with 4 randomized runs/block; as advised by JMP experst in each block there are center runs, in this case two/bock; I get a DSD where confounding of the quadratic effects is acceptable. However by adding dummy factors in order to increase runs and factor estimation power I get blocked DSD's wit...

Hi, How do I remove a column formula but retain the values (without scripting)? I remember seeing an answer to this several months ago, maybe at the JMP summit, but I've forgotten and can't seem to figure it out. Thanks,Mike

  • Using Test Slices

I just had a curiousity about interpretting a test slice result. I have data collected that is repeated over multiple days but my main interest is what occured within each day which is why I use the test slice.  Lets say I have this in the slice for a day: Level 1      -1      -1      -1Level 2       1      Level 3                1Level 4                          1 If I am thinking of this correct...

  • Find R_HOME on mac

I'm running JMP 13 on Mac Pro. I've searched the discussions for this, but everything talks about setting environmental variables in windows - I've seen nothing about Mac. I have a couple of versions of R installed. In my Rprofile.site I've defined libpaths and libraries. When I bring things up in RStudion and check everythings works fine, including R_home  (this is for R V 3.4.3). From RStudio:> ...

  • .jsl scripts will lock files even while set to read and execute permissions only

I am having an issue where an add-in script which runs another script via the include(); function is locking the included script file while other users are running it. This renders me unable to update that script. I tried setting the permissions on the repository and the file as read and execute only but it still locks when other users access it.

  • Sub-sampling data analysis in JMP

In Biology (Plant Sci. and Agriculture) usually we have sub-sampling data for replicates. It's very difficult to analyze these data in commonly use Stat S/W (SPSS/Minitab) because MSS(Error) is calculating wrongly.  Without taking averages of samsamples, the easiest S/W for this is using JMP and I need some assistance for this. I've found very useful Youtube video about subsampling in JMP  (CRD: S...

  • Conceptual question about the profit matrix

This issue has been discussed previously, but I keep finding myself confused about how to use the profit matrix.  My question is conceptual in nature, so let's just use some simple numbers.  Suppose I have data on customer churn and I build a predictive model for churn (the particular technique does not matter for this question).  My decision errors are not symmetric, however, so I want to modify ...

  • Cox Proportional Hazard - adjusting risk ratio with std dev

I'm working with someone who is using SAS and I'm trying to do the same analysis in JMP.  When I  questioned their hazard ratio they said it was adjusted by the standard deviation. They commented:In order to obtain results in units of 1 standard deviation – you simply get the standard deviation value for parameter of interest and introduce it in the PH regression statement, for example:proc phreg ...
