  • Finding the max value as per ID

Hi, I have the following table as shown.  My intention is to find the max(or min) value in the COUNT1 column per each ID1 and populate them in a new table which will have similar column as original table. Can anyone suggest what is the best way to do it.  ID1MAIN_RADSUB_RADCOUNT1M101001796M101011583M101021521M101031621M101101601M101111539M101121639M101131610M105001601M105011539M105021639M105031610...

  • Minitab to JMP : Understanding file saves

I've been through "Moving From Minitab® to JMP®: A Transition Guide" and introductory lessons and manual, but still cant follow how the graph files, data files, and projects are being saved, vs what Minitab does. In minitab, I could open a project, put in multiple data files, and associated plots, and save it all in one *.mtw file. I can open mtw, change some data files, plots and save project wit...

  • sub-categorizing columns of data

Hi, 'I am trying to find a way to subdivide the columns into different groups but allowing them to be in multiple gropus at the same time or being able to filter them easily. Lets say I have multiple suppliers for steel and aluminum and i want to be able to analyze only certain suppliers or i want to analysze all the parts made with steel no matter who the supplier is or by process. this would be ...

  • How to delete a column after performing join in jsl?

For example,  dte << Join( With(dtf), By Matching Column(:Y = :Y ), Preserve main table order(1), output table("Joined Table"); ); After I run this script, a new table is generated having the "Y" columns from both the tables, but after joining I want to get rid of those columns. Their names are different every time. For example, "Y of Un...

  • Choosing factors in model building with forward stepwise regression

Hello! I am using JMP 13 in my master's thesis in order to build a statistical model. I am new at building models, so I apologize in advance if my questions seem a little basic, but any kind of help would really mean a lot to me. In my master's thesis, I did a Definitive Screening Design (6 factors + 2 fake factors, 7 responses, 17 runs) in order to study some process. After completing all the exp...

  • Find R_HOME on mac

I'm running JMP 13 on Mac Pro. I've searched the discussions for this, but everything talks about setting environmental variables in windows - I've seen nothing about Mac. I have a couple of versions of R installed. In my Rprofile.site I've defined libpaths and libraries. When I bring things up in RStudion and check everythings works fine, including R_home  (this is for R V 3.4.3). From RStudio:> ...

On graph builder, I'm trying to draw graphs showing relationship between particle size and different solvent ratios used.I NEED to display the ratio on the x-axis as 1:4  1:8  1:16 regardless of the particle size, but instead i can find some sorting ways using corresponding particle sizes (ascending or descending) Attached is the preview of the window i'm working on now , and the data sheet itself...

  • Graphs repeated measures ANOVA

Hi, I am doing a repeated measures analysis and while making the graphs for one of the variables got stuck. So this graph has a group variable on the X axis(nominal) and the Y axis has 4 values of DNA (continuous) at 4 different time points. I got the graph neat and nice but the x axis shows values for both groups separately while I want them side by side. e.g. day 0 DNA both groups together, Day ...

  • How to predict an output on a table of inputs based on a Gaussian Process model ?

Hi,I am a new user of JMP and I have done a design of experiment (Latin Hypercube) that gives me the values of an output (Y) depending on 3 inputs (X1, X2, X3).I have then analyzed this (X, X2, X3, Y) table with a Gaussian process model. I now would like to use this model to predict Y on a dedicated table of (X1, X2, X3) values. Is this possible ?In the model I can predict Y at one (X1, X2,X3) usin...

  • .jsl scripts will lock files even while set to read and execute permissions only

I am having an issue where an add-in script which runs another script via the include(); function is locking the included script file while other users are running it. This renders me unable to update that script. I tried setting the permissions on the repository and the file as read and execute only but it still locks when other users access it.

  • Sub-sampling data analysis in JMP

In Biology (Plant Sci. and Agriculture) usually we have sub-sampling data for replicates. It's very difficult to analyze these data in commonly use Stat S/W (SPSS/Minitab) because MSS(Error) is calculating wrongly.  Without taking averages of samsamples, the easiest S/W for this is using JMP and I need some assistance for this. I've found very useful Youtube video about subsampling in JMP  (CRD: S...

  • Conceptual question about the profit matrix

This issue has been discussed previously, but I keep finding myself confused about how to use the profit matrix.  My question is conceptual in nature, so let's just use some simple numbers.  Suppose I have data on customer churn and I build a predictive model for churn (the particular technique does not matter for this question).  My decision errors are not symmetric, however, so I want to modify ...

  • Cox Proportional Hazard - adjusting risk ratio with std dev

I'm working with someone who is using SAS and I'm trying to do the same analysis in JMP.  When I  questioned their hazard ratio they said it was adjusted by the standard deviation. They commented:In order to obtain results in units of 1 standard deviation – you simply get the standard deviation value for parameter of interest and introduce it in the PH regression statement, for example:proc phreg ...
