  • Contour plot algorithm?

Can someone point me to a reference that describes what function JMP uses to define the contours on the Contour Plot platform?  I found this in tech help: JMP uses a method of triangulation and linear interpolation to generate the contours in the Contour Plot where a combination of three data points are used to generate a triangle. To see the triangulations, opt to "Save Triangulations". but is th...

  • Random row selection below a certain threshold

Hello All,I am attempting to randomly select 20% of the observations in my table below 200, and then exclude those observations from any analysis. In other words, do a random row selection both at a given percentage and below a certain threshold. Thanks for any pointers!

  • How do you display Data Labels on Bars in Graph Builder?

My questions are: 1) How do you display data labels on bars in Graph Builder? 2) Or if it's obvious to you why, for a specific panel/fiscal year does the total of all the bars seem to be going over 100%
I'm a JMP novice. I am using Graph Builder and while I can figure out how to create various trellis charts, contour charts, etc I can't for the life of me figure out how to put data labels on some ba...

  • Obtaining the row number of a cell that fulfills a certain criterion

Is there a function that will return the row number of the (first) cell in a certain column that fulfills a criterion, e.g. begins with "XYZ" or is larger than X. That will allow me to obtain the data of a relevant cell in a different column, similar to the function of the VLOOKUP-function i Excel.Preferably I want to do it in the Formula editor.

  • Prediction profiler for several responses fit by different models

When I have done a multi-factor experiment I fit models to each of my responses. Many times the different responses don't have the same significant terms and interactions as each other. After i reduce my model for each response I want to investigate the effects of changing factors on each response simultaneously. How do I do this when the models I fit are different for each response?

  • Anchoring "Windows List" & "Projects", etc. to same window as Data Table?

Hello, I've just upgraded from JMP8 to 10.When opening up a Data Table, I used to be able to have additional panels such as "Windows List" and "Projects" show up in the same window by going through [View >> Windows List] or [View >> Projects].However, when I do the same in my JMP10 installation, I can only get the Windows List and Project windows show up as new floating windows. Is there a way to f...

  • Individual and Moving Range Chart

I am trying to create an individual and moving range chart by date on the x-axis. I know it is possible given the following article. Control Charts or SPC are easy in JMP 10 with Control Chart BuilderHowever, I am unable to "drop" the dates on the x-axis. Everytime I try, JMP assumes that I am placing it in "subgroup" and converts to an Xbar and R chart. Does anyone know where I need to drop my da...

  • How to do a clean uninstall of JMP9 on a Mac?

Wondering if this is as simple as dragging the application package to the trash.  The OCD in me would like to also get rid of associated library and preference components.  The manuals and online resources don't give any direction.  And since I have JMP10 installed, I don't want to rip out resources shared with the new version.
