Defining Factor Constraints in Custom Design DOE
Hi community, JMP novice here, apologies if I'm missing something very obvious. I'm trying to set up a DOE for a chemical reaction that has 5 components, just call them A, B, C, D, and E. For their quantity, I am expressing each one as a fraction of the whole, or the percent of the total volume that the component takes up. So I would like to include a Linear Constraint so their sum does not exceed...

Is it possible to plot multiple CDFs on the same plot?
Suppose I have a dataset of heights of men and women in a university, is it possible to plot two cumulative distribution function (CDF) lines on the same plot, one for men and one for women?

Looping through variables inside a formula
Hi,For a project I´m working on I have created a data table column (Animal No.Avg) where I am calculating some relative values for VO2 based on a baseline value (Treatment C) from table GroupAvg. In this case there is only one baseline value per assessment (VO2, RQ, EE) as seen in groupAvg as it is an average of several days. For that I created the below which works nicely:
VarVehicleVo2 = :Name(

grouping process data by dates
Hi,I'm trying to use JMP to plot out the following data in this format :For example :I have a ten year trend of a process unit which I'm analyzing. The unit is brought down once in a while for maintenance, and I would to monitor its performance across the cycles. Sometimes the cycles are fixed by timelength, or by dates (e.g. could be 6 months or 2 years). What would be the best way to process all...

Comparing all pairs within groups
Hi, I´m looking for some inspiration on how to approach a data set. I´m looking at demographics data for a group of people where I need to identify potential duplicate persons. Some parts of the data are accurate (birth date, sex, country) and other parts are not (height, weight). This means, that even though height & weight is not identical for two persons, they can actually be the same. So withi...

How do I add the percent total value as a text label on a Tree Map?
Hi everyone, This seems like it should be a very easy thing to do, but I can't figure out how to add the percent total value (which is available on the hover tip) as a text label (under the exact value label) in each panel of the actual Tree Map. I'd like to do this so that I can share static charts with people who don't have JMP and can't use the hover tip. Thanks for any solutions.

Auto-correlation in multi-linear regression model with time-dependent variable
Hi all, I'm trying to generate a multi-linear regression model on a study that spanned many weeks. One of the factors is cell age and this does seem to have a significant effect on the response. When looking at Residuals vs Row plot and performing Durbin-Watson test, it looks like the data are not independent (i.e. auto-correlation exists). However, since cell age is a time-dependent factor, would...

[JSL Contour Plot] Method of define contour plot, number, minimum, maximum
The contour plot is very helpful to show 3D map, however the problem of defining the zone is always a trouble. In my typical jsl plot, I use something below to define the contour plot zone number = 8, maximum = 1.4, minimum =1. However, the table column :Length may change time to time, and the scale will have to be modified manually for each corresponding plot. Does someone have experience how t...

Impact of screen resolution on html output
Hi, I'm preparing a dashboard using jmp that will be used for a daily meeting. It contains information in form of data tables and text boxes. In order to transfer text sizes and colors for the text as well as the data tables into the html output I transformed them into pictures (rep = dt << get as report(); pic = rep << get picture(); ). I set up all font sizes on my external monitor and it worked...

How do I have two different chart types in a single graph using two axis?
While doing some research to answer this question, I found this article on the JMP community that helped me get started. How do I do a combination bar and line plot using Overlay Plot? Using the big class sample data example of height and weight I was able to create a bar chart for weight and a line plot for height on the same chart using the Overlay Plot. To do this, first clear the row s...

How do I calculate z-scores at different aggregation levels?
Hello, How do I use JSL to calculate Z-scores at different levels of aggregation? I am working with cancer mortality data (1999 - 2015) at the county-level. I need to calculate Z-scores to compare each county to the others within a state and all counties within the country. I cannot simply use the standardize function because it automatically takes an average of rates--which is invalid unless the...
