  • How to make a new column with experiment number in a data table with stacked repeating continuous data?

Hi,   I have a data table with repeating continuous experiments. So the data is already stacked. I have a column where each new experiment starts with 1 then 2 and so on until last measurement. I want to create a new column with experiment number, so every time the other column starts with 1 that is the start of another experiment.  I have tried writing this script with help from AI but it does no...

  • Monitoring JMP Live Performance

Has anyone set up a system to monitor JMP Live performance, perhaps with the ability to graph the number of JMP Sessions or Queued Events over time, or to alert if there are too many?   One method used for some other solutions is a combination of Grafana for visualization and Prometheus to collect data, there are a few example dashboards starting a third of the way down this logit.io blog post.

  • using plugin for automation

I have found a Split and Set Spec Limits plugin I would like to use in my automation.  When I use the plugin no activity is recorded in the log file (which is likely expected given I am using a plugin). Is it possible to use it in the workflow or the JSL script?

  • Data Filter in JSL script running slow

I am trying to create a JSL script that will utilize data filter and select ~180 tests of interest in "ITEM_NAME" column and create a new table. When I use Data Filter and run it manually it doesn't have any delays. Though when I try to automate the process it takes ~15 minutes to create the new table. What can I do to make it run more efficiently? Open( "$DOCUMENTS/test.jmp" ); ref10 = Data Tabl...

  • How do I get the exclude row function to actually exclude the selected row from analyses ?

Hi I want to run analyses on a subset of data and is using the exclude function which I naturally assumed will exclude the selected row from analyses. Surprisingly, running the exact same analyses with rows excluded give the exact same results as with the complete dataset. Hmmm... not intuitive at all. Someone having a solution to this?

  • How do I get a correlation color map with categorical and numeric variables?

About correlation maps, I see that in the multivariate, the correlation map accepts only numeric variables and the range for correlation coefficients is  between -1 and 1. In the DOE module, I can evaluate a DOE test matrix with a correlation map that accepts all factors, including categorical, and the range for the correlation coefficients is between 0 and 1. I would like to use the second type o...

  • Testing slices in JMP Pro Mixed Model?

Hello, I am doing a 4-way, full factorial ANOVA with one repeated measures factor (time, 3 samplings) and three between-subject factors (species, color, and irrigation; 2 levels of each) using the Mixed Model personality in JMP Pro 18.1.0. I'm using the AR(1) repeated covariance structure, as it provides the best fit based on AICc values. The analysis indicates I have no significant 4- or 3-way in...

  • when does model reduction lead to the problem of multiple comparisons?

My interest is in identifying the strongest predictors of annual per capita growth rate for three groups of bird species: residents, short-distance migrants and long-distance migrants.  My model has per capita growth rate as the dependent variable, and as predictors bird density during the breeding season, and 13 environmental predictors (various measures of climate, food abundance and nest predat...

  • steps to use the minimum p-value approach with log-rank test?

I am interested in applying the minimum p-value approach using the p-values obtained from the log-rank test. However, I am uncertain about the specific steps involved. Could you kindly advise me on how to proceed?   I am currently using the following version: JMP® Student Edition 18.2.0, running on Microsoft Windows 11 Home.

  • Discovery summit book signings - official list of books?

Fellow JMP enthusiasts! During the 2024 Manchester Discovery Summit I was surprised to learn that the handing out and signing of books is a tradition. So, I am wondering whether there is a list of the books handed out & signed so far. If it exists, where to find it?I thoroughly enjoyed reading "Bitch" by Lucy Cooke, and I have a feeling "Hello World" by Hannah Frey will be a good read too.
