How do I get the exclude row function to actually exclude the selected row from analyses ?

Hi
I want to run analyses on a subset of data and is using the exclude function which I naturally assumed will exclude the selected row from analyses. Surprisingly, running the exact same analyses with rows excluded give the exact same results as with the complete dataset. Hmmm... not intuitive at all. Someone having a solution to this?
This does sound counterintuitive. Can you share the analysis platform you are using and the order of the steps you are using to exclude the data points?
Thanks for getting back to me. I'm using the free student platform. The exclusion was done by clicking to the left of the dataset and marking the "no entry sign", see line 4 and 5 in the image below.
