  • RE: Saving Multiple Excel Sheets as Seperate Data Tables in JSL

Hi,  I'm trying to use the Get Excel Worksheets function to save each of the worksheets in my excel file as a seperate data table. I used the following code and I keep getting a name unresolved error, but I'm sure that the file path is correct. listOfWorksheets = Get Excel Worksheets("C:\Users\jaz\Desktop\Template.xlsx"); Another thing is that the Get Excel Worksheets doesn't appear in blue in my ...

  • Getting "Page By" and "Wrap By" to work together nicely?

Say I have six data sets indexed as X_Y: e.g., [A_1, A_2, A_3, B_1, B_2, C_1] If I want to page by X and wrap by Y, is there any way to do so in Graph Builder without having a bunch of empty plots (i.e., no empty space for B_3, no empty spaces for C_2 and C_3)? The desired format would be the first page would have three wrapped plots for A_1, A_2, and A_3, the second page would have only two wrapp...

  • inverse probability of treatment weighting

Hello, I'm doing research on prostate cancer survival outcomes using Cox hazards regression (Fit proportional hazards model in JMP) and was wondering if JMP has the capability to do weighting such as Inverse probability of treatment (IPTW) weighting? Thank you

  • How to fit a normal distribution of specified mean and standard deviation to a data set?

Suppose I create 100 values from a standard normal. While my parameters are mean=0 and SD=1, the calculated statistics from the 100 data will not be fully equal to the parameter values. If I use "Analyze" and "Distribution" I get a histogram of the 100 random data values and I can fit a normal distribution to these values ("Continuous fit" / "Normal"). The fit is based on the statistics of the data....

  • How do I choose between a Wilcoxon, Wilcoxon Signed Rank, or t-test with matched observations?

I'm new to JMP, and trying to determine which test is appropriate for my study. I have matched biological measurements at two time points (before and after a meal) for 25 individual donors. Each donor has a single data point per time point. The population has a large standard deviation for most of these measurements, and usually the results do not have a normal distribution. Some observations have...

  • repeated-measures ANCOVA: How to perform the analysis when the parallel slope assumpt. doesn't meet?

Hi all,I need to perform the ANCOVA for a repeated-measures design. I tried to adapt the Julian's ANCOVA procedure showed on the https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mApbp1RDy-U to my study case (repeated-measures design). Initially, I did the following actions: 1. In the Fit Y by X dialogue: I selected VAR_Y as "Y, Response" and VAR_X as "X, Factor";2. For "Group by" I selected the variable Timepoint;...

  • Time Series - Prewhiten

Hello Everyone, My question pertains to understanding what the terminology in JMP's prewhiten platform means. Also, understanding how that helps me determine an appropriate Transfer Function that I can use to test whether x causes y. JMP's prewhiten output shows three different ACF's labeled "Prewhiten Corr", "Noise AutoCorr", & "Noise Partial AutoCorr".
What is the Prewhiten Corr, Noise AutoCorr, &...

  • Fit Spline By Group: Save Spline Coefficients to Column?

Hi all--having an issue.  I am using Fit Y by X to fit 5,000 separate regressions.  I hold control, select red drop-down arrow, and Fit->Flexible, Fit->Spline and select, say, 0.1.   This fits a spline to all 5,000 graphs with lambda of 0.1.  I have 28 X values in each of 5,000 graphs, and I understand there are 4 different spline coefficients (A, B, C, D).  I understand if I just had 1 regression...

  • Why does Profiler not stop

    All,
I have a script I am trying to profile and improve on. When I run the script without the profiler, it runs and ends within 4 minutes. When I try to profile the script, even after a good 5-6 minutes, it does not stop. Wondering why this is happening and if there is a way to use profiler and not run into this.      I am using JMP 13.
