  • Grouping Data by Rows in JMP Pro 18

I am currently working on a JMP Pro data file (attached), which contains 150 observations covering the years 2015 to 2024. The dataset comprises four columns: “YEAR”, “Location”, “ENT CAP”, and “NEP”. I would like to organize the data by grouping all rows according to the values in the YEAR column. For example, all 16 rows corresponding to 2015 should be grouped under the label “Y2015”, and simila...

  • [Help] - How to get graph builder with polygon updated as slider changes

    Hi all,
I am quite new in JSL scripting. Currently, I added Slider to change some variable in data table. Data table gets updated as  the slider change In the next step, I would like to get data 2 column in the data table to turn them into matrix and starting draw Polygon in Graph Builder However , I face some difficulty that once I move sliders, the content does not change: 1. I add one text box i...

  • Creating a dynamic bubble plot in JMP Pro 18

Can anyone guide me through the steps to create a dynamic bubble plot in JMP Pro 18, similar to the Katrina Data – Bubble Plot of LAT by LON example available in the JMP Database? I’ve developed a comparable dataset titled Hurricane_Hypo_1 (attached), and although I’ve reviewed the guidelines under Bubble Plots. I’m still unsure how to replicate that type of visualisation using my own data.

  • Difference of opinion for Steel-Dwass or Games-Howell post hoc test

For a current study, group sizes for pairwise comparison are problematic, the group sizes are 15, 10, and 5. Because of the unequal group sizes and small sizes (additionally) the researchers are conducting a Welch's ANOVA. Following the Welch's ANOVA the researchers are conducting Games-Howell post hoc either planned or exploratory. The counter argument is being made that if the assumption for hom...

  • Fast Way to calculate "nested" Col ... aggregations - like MAD

In 2017 @Kevin_Anderson submitted a wish to add a functionality to calculate Robust Means and Standard Deviation functions in JSL and Formula Editor .    In 2022 an extended version of the wish was submitted by @jthi :
Add normalization and robust statistical functions (and matrix functions)
with the comment: @jthi wrote: Most of these could already be implemented fairly easily by using existing st...
