Variability chart misbehaving on JMP 17.1?

When I generate a variability chart in JMP17.1 I get the question if I want to add Group means, when I enter ok and save the script it will contain a section to include the group means. Yet when I re-run that script it shows the same prompt again asking if I want to see the group means. Can anybody reproduce this problem? I did not have this problem in JMP16. JMP stopped working and reinstalling doesn't help

I have contacted JMP technical support so I hope they will be able to help. But after 25 years of using JMP I have never encountered this problem - perhaps someone in the Community has some idea. I am especially concerned because I teach a course using JMP - tomorrow! and it suddenly won't load. I get the message I uninstalled JMP and reinstalled it but I get the same message. Outlier (👽) screening with Jmp Dashboards - how?

I want to do some Outlier screening by listing the aliens in my class. First attempt: Local Data Filter
I was quite shocked with all the aliens in Big Class!
... but then I noticed that the data filter was just ignored (because on day 1 there were no aliens in the class - and with no matching rows, the Data Filter is just reset - instead of showing 0 matching rows !!!).

Load an OASIS (.oasis) Chip Layout File in JMP?
