  • Displaying limits in box plots (one way ANOVA)

    Hi Guys,

Is there a way to display limits for a test in the box plot option in One way ANOVA?

I know of the way to add the USL and LSL to two rows in my data table and plot that column on one way ANOVA so I can see a separate box plot of my limits along with a box plot of my data but I don't want that.

I have a file which has several columnsin it and each column already has a limit associated with ...

  • Fractional factorial with 3-level factors

I have a product mix with three components I am trying to minimize while maximizing my response. I have one response and four continuous factors. 3 of the factors are components of the product and the fourth factor is the starting temperature of the test that yields the response.

I would like to perform a fractional factorial rather than the full factorial method. I want all four factors to have...

  • Sum totals by month from date field

Is there a simple way to create sum totals by month? I have a date field such as 01Apr2008 and I would like to tabulate by month.

I can display the date as only a month-year, such as 4/2008, but I can't use the tabulate function as it does it by day based on the underlying data.

  • Bubble Plot: Cosmetic Features

I'm very new to JMP, so this could certainly be user error.

In working with the Bubble Plot, I am able to display the following within JMP 8.0.1.

    Grid Lines
    Y-Axis Label (vertical)
    Background Color

However, they do not appear in the .swf (Flash) file. No grid lines appear, Y-Axis label is horizontal and the background color is white.

  • a simple question of JSL: how to reassign a column type for an existing tab

I have a column in a table called "Eff Year." It's current Modeling Type is Continuous. I want JSL to reassign it to Nominal. Thanks.

  • How to open files with a certain file name only?

    Hi Guys,

I am trying to open some files which have a certain name as follows:

    files1 = Files In Directory( "C:\log\*.test*" );

However I do not get anything in files1. How can I just search for specific file names and save them in the files1 list?

    Thanks.

  • JSL Script to Initialize Data as Date Sequence

I'm trying to write some JSL code that will:

    1) prompt user for starting and ending dates for range of data to initialized

    2) create new table and have this table add the number of rows equal to end date - start date, initialize new column with dates that increment by 1 day per row.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to accomplish this? I've included my test code so far. Thanks.

  • Nemenyi test post-hoc for Kruskal-Wallis test

Is there a way to do post-hoc testing for the Kruskal-Wallis test for non-parametric data? I have searched the web and most use the Nemenyi test as described by Zar in Biostatistical analysis 3rd edition p226. I have a large amount of data and don't want to do all this by hand.

    Many thanks

  • Random Parameters in Profiler?

I am evaluating JMP (currently V. 7, but my company is in the upgrade process) and I am particularly interested in figuring out how to use the Profiler for some of my frequent activities. Can anyone help with the following?

I would like to simulate a function F(x, theta(i)) over a range of x values. Theta(i) is a set of parameters drawn from a multivariate-normal distribution for each individual ...

  • Overlay normal quantile plots without long string labels

    Hello,

I am a longtime user of JMP7. To make overlay normal quantile plots I use Fit Y by X, where Y is the continual variable like Height and X is a categorical variable like Gender. Using Right-click/Legend gives a nice color coded legend for the curves, but JMP also tries to label each curve way up at the top (upper quantile) end of the curve. Invariably these are ugly and overlap each other. ...
