  • Life and Survival dataset

I am looking at a component within our product that is on 10000+ products in the field. Should I only be looking at failures? I have the ability to include all the products that have never had this component fail. Is it best to include those in the dataset, or should I only be looking at failures?

  • Custom path definition in the Destructive Degradation platform

The Destructive Degradation (DD) platform provides a list of built-in path definition models. I'm interested in fitting a first-order nonlinear kinetics model to experimental data collected at various temperatures using an Arrhenius transformation of temperature. All the Arrhenius-based kinetics models that are built-in in JMP 17.0 represent the path definitions having common intercepts and asympt...

  • Why Weibull scale parameter is not used for Reliability Demonstration Test calculation?

Hi, The product's lifetime distribution is modeled by the Weibull distribution with scale = 44, shape = 4 In JMP Demonstration Explorer for Parametric Reliability, I input the following:Alpha: 0.2Distribution: WeibullDemonstration time: 100Demonstration Reliability: 0.98Weibull beta: 4Maximum failures allowed: 0Sample size: 10 Solve for Test time = 168 Why scale parameter is not used? Thanks.

  • Reliability Forecast Analysis Error

Hi,I am attempting to run a Reliability Forecast analysis, Analysis>Reliability and Survival>Reliability Forecast>Data Format Tab. Attached is my project file. When I run the above analysis using my two data tabs (Rel Production Data and Rel Failure Data) it comes back with the error, “Total failure count is larger than production volume“. In the Analysis>Reliability and Survival>Reliability Forec...

  • Degradation stability test script not working freeze in JMP 17

Can perform the function from the degradation menu but when saving the script to the data table (or script window) and running it - the entire jmp 17 freezes over and needs to be killed. no such problem in jmp 16. attached the data table.

  • Reliability Growth Analysis

Hello,In the training video https://community.jmp.com/t5/Mastering-JMP/Analyzing-Reliability-for-Repairable-Systems/ta-p/483465 when the analysis is performed, no information about the duration of maintenance work is provided. For example a single fix may have been done on day 3 and the next one on day 10. However this fix may have taken 2, hours, 10 hours, 2 days and etc. My understanding is that...

  • Friedman post hoc analysis

Hello, I am trying to do a matched sample analysis across three different factors. I wanted to:1. Confirm that my sample would be what I pick for 'Block" when I do Fit Y by X when running Friedman's test2. Is there a post hoc analysis in JMP that I can use? I dont see Nemenyi or Conover as an optionThanks for your time.
