  • SPC Sampling Rate Determination

I am trying to determine an appropriate sampling plan for a manufacturing process which has a dimensional in process control (a length). There is a USL and LSL with a target. Cpk and Ppk are both coming in at >2 on a sample size of >2000 units across two mfg. lots.

We sampled at a rate of ~5%. I’m trying to figure out what the minimum sample rate is to ensure quality (95/95 confidence coverage). H...

  • Turning date/time data into days for individual runs

Hello,  Trying to use a formula (or JSL if I need to) to get days for manufacturing runs. I think I need two If/ then statements to get the days to go from 0-12, given the run number/ batch ID and the date/time stamp right? I have tried a few formulas, and searched this forum (and google); however, I have not been able to get the correct output. Unfortunately my programing days are so long ago I c...

  • Issue with X-Axis Label Formatting in Control Chart Builder – JMP Version 19

    Hi JMP Users,
I'm encountering an issue in JMP version 19 that wasn't present in version 18. In the Control Chart Builder, the X-axis label formatting used to display intervals correctly in version 18. However, in version 19, the labels are repeating instead of showing the expected interval format.
I've attached comparison graphs from both versions for your reference to highlight the difference.
    If...

  • What is the relation between Fit Parametric Survival and Fit Life by X and how do I get alpha values?

I am using Fit Parametric Survival with a weibull fit to several different groups of data (group 0 to group 19) with only location effect. Parallelly I am verifying the alpha values of the weibull fit to the different groups from Fit Life by X plot. I understand that in the Fit Parametric Survival plot, it takes the last group as the anchor point and calculates the intercept (not sure what exactly...
