  • How do I use the integrate function with a predictive formula generated from a raw data set

    Hello!

I'm attempting to find the area under a curve of a data set between specific time intervals (x-axis). I have taken the raw data which was analyte concentration (y) across time (x) and ran it through a fit curve model that generated a predicted equation that fits the raw data with R^2 =0.95.

I'm a bit confused of my next step, I've tried to plug the equation in as a formula in a new column and...

  • New to JMP and struggling with Standard Deviation differences between Excel & JMP

I'm a 20+ year user of Minitab but my company is no longer buying the licenses because of recent drastic price increases and licensing model.  Just got JMP version 17.0.0 on Friday and trying to figure out how to do some Control Charts.  My biggest issue is trying to understand how JMP is giving me a different Standard Deviation than by my manually calculating them in Excel. When I calculate the M...

  • Finding the mean, sigma, or median for a column certain conditions

Hi all, I'm trying to find the mean, median and sigma for a column with certain conditions. For example, I need to get the mean for a test at certain frequency and a certain bandwidth.  Something like this: Col Mean where ( :column1 < Limit & :BW == Y & :Freq == XXX );  your help is appreciated :)

  • How to backtransform the SHASH transformed value?

Hi.I am trying to figure out the CpK of the process data. However historical Dist analysis says, SHASH transform needed. Thus I apply SHASH transformation to the data and analyze. Here are the questions.1. Can I use SHASH data as the material for Cpk?2. Do I need to input SHASH value of the original LSL/USL to the Cpk analysis?3. How can I back transform the SHASH value if presented by analysis?4. Is...

  • How to display Cpk for Non-normal Distribution Data

Hi, From this tutorial: https://community.jmp.com/t5/Statistical-Thinking-for/Estimating-Capability-for-Nonnormal-Data/ta-p/271889 , JMP will report Ppk only from the process capability platform. However, it was mentioned that we can opt to display Cpk as well by going to the JMP Pro 17 platform settings. I was not able to find the way to adjust this, can anyone help? Thank you.

  • Could JMP optimize factors with uncertainty?

Hello community!!,A question: will it be possible for the profiler to find the best combinations of factors with uncertainty when performing a simulation, which maximize the total utility and minimize the total cost, generating a table of the best combinations found? For example:

  • Caution: Places where Jmp does something unexpected

Definitely, JMP is Not a Spreadsheet . And that's great!! Besides this difference, there are other places where Jmp doesn't do/behave/produce what a newbie / innocent Jmp user expects.
If a user knows these issues and the remedies and workarounds -  he/she can
    a) save a lot of time b) be safe from data loss c) be sure that the results are as expected.

Hello Everyone,I was looking for someone who could help me with a dilemma I'm facing with respect to an MSA for a microscope. The specific problem is that i do not have tolerance I can input for my type 1 analysis. Resolution used is 5 microns per pixel, the accuracy cannot be below 5 microns. This is the standard resolution for particles starting from 50 microns. I have attached the Linearity stu...

  • How to prove that the composition of the chemical mixture before and after treatment is significantly different?

Hello! I need to show that compositions of chemical mixture before and after treatment are significantly different. Composition is given in weight %, so the total of all components' weight % in the mixture is 100%. This also means that if one component weight % in the mixture decreased after treatment all other component weight % should be increased. Can I use "Test Mean" from the Distribution pla...
