  • Native JMP support for once-class SVM classifier or the SVDD implementation in SAS?

Is it possible to do one class SVM classifiers for novelty detection natively in JMP? Something comparable to SAS SVDD (support vector data description) implementation. I have multivariate continuous data. If not then are multivariate control charting techniques and outlier analysis tools sufficient for my purpose?

  • "If statement" does not work properly when running the whole script but if I only run the part in question it works well

Hi, I am note very experienced in scripting and have a question (may be I am missing some basic syntax here?).I use the following script to create in a data table new columns with an "if statement". For new column "Headache 1" this works well. For "Fever 1" it does not work. New column is created (but with data type numeric and data model continuous instead of character, nominal and if statement d...

  • Overlap / Gap Analysis by Row

I'm looking for a method to run a gap and overlap analysis across a set of data 1000-ish rows.  Data are teams ranking their test coverage of each feature as 1, 2 or 3, Scores.  I want to look for gaps across the rows where no group has scored it a 1 and also show where multiple groups rank as 1.  A snapshot of the data table is below.Feature #FVTEVTCVTMSVGQCertHWPEMFG TestPDETCM / FAE?11 23 3122 ...

  • How to draw Control Charts that ignore missing data?

Hi all. Sometimes we take a sample and test it for a number of parameters. On occasion, we don't need to test all parameters, so the data table can take the form of the layout below, whereby A or B can have missing values. When I draw control charts, the control chart leaves a space for the empty cells (per 1st chart below). Obviously, I'd much rather it looked like the 2nd chart below, whereby th...

  • Design an experiment anticipating autocorrelation.

Is there a way to anticipate and account for potential affects of previous runs in an experiment?     Two use cases: Lab - Samples are prepared using a mixer that cannot be (cost effectively) fully cleaned between runs.  The samples are later treated using a process that, again, cannot be fully cleaned between every run.Continuous Process - A process is not shut down between runs, rather new condi...

  • How to remove empty rows when importing excel in JMP

    Hi All,

I am importing an excel file to JMP. There are many empty rows in excel (I can not delete them manually as there are 10s of such excel files) and when I import them to JMP, I do not find any option to delete/remove/suppress these empty files. JMP do show option to suppress empty columns but nothing for empty rows (at least I couldn't find it).  I tried to put "Suppress Empty Rows( 1 )" in t...

  • JMP > GraphBuilder > Parallel Plots >River / Sankey Plots > Maximum Items?

Hi JMP Community,   I just came across an odd behavior in GraphBuilder with the Parallel Plot > Sankey Plot. If I limit the input to a maximum of 66 rows, the plot looks good. However, if I bump the number of rows to 67 or more, the output is no longer useful: no annotations: Is there a trick to maintain the axis annotations as shown in the first plot? Thanks. Best, TS

  • Variability Chart Platform Factor Re-Insert Positions (Not Swapping)

Hello JMP Community, I understand dragging between any two factors swaps the location pairs in the Variability Chart platform. Is there a way to drag to specifically re-insert the factors instead? For example, can I drag "Layout" between "Horizontal" and "Wafer ID" in the attached screenshot instead of performing multiple drags to have the intended result? I am aware I can do this reordering with ...

  • Get (x & y) intercept values from linear fit of the linear region of a curve/data and store them in a new column

I have JMP data table with data from several parts for which a Capacitance 'C' has been measured as a function of reverse voltage 'V' (0 to -5 V in -0.1V step). A plot of [1/C]^2 vs V has a linear part for small reverse bias (say from 0 V to -0.5V and data is available at 0, -0.1, -0.2, -03, -0.4 -0.5 V within this range). How to do a linear fit to the points between 0 to -5V for each part, extrac...

  • Debugger report for finding bottlenecks

I'm trying to find bottlenecks in a large script with many includes.  I can run the debugger to profile the script but I'm wondering if there's a better way than just looking through each included script for the highest number.  I'm imagining a pareto.     Anyone know a good method to analyze script performance?
